However, many Gym evolution cards say: "Evolves from [trainer's] pokemon" so it may only be played on that trainer's basic pokemon. For example, Lt. Surge's Raichu will say: Evolves from Lt. Surge's Pikachu So you may not play it on top of Jungle Pikachu... But other than things like this, the sets are compatible. Brian Brokaw
