Thanks for >your response! Hi Larry. I'm trying to avoid answering questions based on bad translations. Scrye was severely wrong on the Fossil Trainer card and may very well be wrong on others. So, until Fossil is actually released, I'm not going to pursue rulings. In Japanese rules, you CAN mix Gym and non-Gym cards. (heck, all of the Gym theme decks include some non-Gym cards.) But all of the "trainer's pokemon" evolve from other "trainer's pokemon" so you won't be able to mix-and-match evolutions. Brian Brokaw
