Are you >allowed to choose the specific energy card you want to remove from your >opponent's pokemon? Yep! Energy Removal ROCKS! Every deck should include some! (of course, both cards removed with a S.E.R. need to be from a single opponent pokemon.) >2) when one of your pokemon gets k.o'd are you supposed to put a pokemon from >your bench out and make it active before you draw a card for your turn or can >you draw first? I figured the former was the right way to do it. You must have a bench replacement waiting to put active. Otherwise you fail the "ALWAYS HAVE A POKEMON IN-PLAY" rule and IMMEDIATELY lose. (no time for you to draw a card and play pokemon.) >3) if you get k.o'd and you move a pokemon out to battle and decide to change >your mind about that pokemon and want to choose a different one to be the active >pokemon can you switch it (not with the switch trainer) for free since your turn >is not over? That is up to your opponent. Technically the answer is NO. But I hate technicalities, and if it was an honest mistake and you tried to correct it right away, I would always allow it (if you were playing me). >4) when using a poke power, do you have to repeat that your going to use it >every turn or is it just automatic? (Except for Dodrio's retreat aid) Many Powers are always "ON" (automatic) and do not need to be announced: Machamp's Strikes Back, Mr. Mime's Invisible Wall, Dodrio's Retreat Aid, etc (this may not be a full list... I'm going from memory here). However, some Powers DO need to be announced before using them (each time): Blastoise's Rain Dance, Venusaur's Energy Trans, etc. >Finally if you read Wizard's special publication "IN power" recently, there were >some various pokemon "quizes" for different situations during a pokemon battle. >could you possibly send me some different quizes like these. these quizes >really helped me alot and I recommend putting some in your future publications >of pokemon strategy guides. Quizzes would be awesome! I did have one typed up and sent to Bill at the PoJo, but it never got posted... Basically I wanted to know what the biggest amount of damage that can be inflicted in a single attack in Pokemon (and Inquest's little note was wrong on this one by a long shot). But some of those "what are you going to do" quizzes would be fun! I'll work on some. Thanks for the email! Brian Brokaw
