Hi! I have a question about energy retrievals. The card reads "Trade 1 other
cards in your hand for up to 2 basic Energy cards from your discard pile."My
question is: Where do we trade the other card in the deck or in the discard
pile?

If the two places in question are the hand and the discard pile, then that is the only two places that can be involved in the trade.
