At our league the gym trainer was asked if Ditto also copies the opposing Active's power.  He wasn't sure, and said "no".  But after reading transcrpits on wizards.com of their online chat.  It appears that Ditto does copy the opposing Active's power.  Does it?

This seems like as good a time as any to go over what Ditto does NOT copy.

Ditto does not copy damage counters on the opposing active
Ditto does not copy any status effects that are currently on the opposing active.
(example: if Your opponent's active is poisoned, Ditto is not just because the opponent's active is)
Ditto does not copy the result of an attack another opponent used (example:  Your opponent used Swords Dance.  You can not slash for 60 unless you also Swords Dance)
Ditto keeps his Transform Power at all times.

Those are the differences.  Ditto will copy EVERYTHING else, including opposing Pokemon Powers
