No.

Moltres' discard is NOT a "cost" (since it does NOT use the term
"in order to" in the card text.)

So, Moltres is allowed to use Wildfire and discard NO energy cards
if it wishes.  This would have NO net effect, but Moltres was still
considered to attack.

So, if you Metronome copy Wildfire, you must discard Fire energy
cards from Clefairy/Clefable if you wish to force your opponent
to discard cards.

No.  Clefairy is still colorless, so all of Clefairy's attacks 
originate as a colorless source.  

Ditto copies the opponent's TYPE as well as its ATTACKS, so this
would be a different case for Ditto (for example).
