Your opponent was mistaken on both counts. Attack damage is seperate from poison damage. Poison damage is applied AFTER attacks are complete and is not associated with the attacks at all. Also, the tails coin flip only means that you did not REPLACE the initial poison condition with a "fresh" poison condition. It does not mean that it cures the Poisoned pokemon... Poison does not just dissappear on its own. The poisoned Pokemon must get rid of it somehow (bench/evolve/etc.) Brian Brokaw
