It won't have any damage on it when it comes out of your opponent's hand. Cards never "remember" damage or effects when they are sent to a player's hand or the discard pile. If Pidgeot doesn't knock it out, the net effect is no damage (but the pokemon is whisked back to your opponent's hand). Brian Brokaw
