I would think so, as the text does not specify to attach > the energy to that specific card, just that it must go to Pikachu/Mewtwo. When a card uses its own name, it is referring to THAT card only. (not another card in play with the same name). In fact, in the Japanese version of the card game (the version that Wizards of the Coast was supposed to simply translate), Pokemon cards NEVER use their own names. Instead of "Pikachu" or "Mewtwo" they would say: "self". e.g. "Choose up to 2 Energy cards from your discard pile and attach them to self." Hope this helps, Brian Brokaw
