Ditto is an EXACT copy of the opponent (including Powers, Retreat Costs, Attack Moves, etc. etc. etc.) Except the Ditto card retains an ADDITIONAL Power: Transform. Ditto needs this power to remain copying the defender. And yes, if Ditto was copying Venusaur, then Ditto can Energy Trans. (but even though Ditto's ENERGY is any color it wants, those cards attached to Ditto are still their original ENERGY CARD color--so Ditto cannot just move any color energy card around that it wants.)
