Attack damage ALWAYS matches the color of the POKEMON that has the attack move. It does NOT matter which energy cards are used (or required) to pay for the attack. Exeggcute's Hypnosis inflicts GRASS damage on your opponent. Voltorb's Tackle inflicts LIGHTNING damage onto your opponent. Jigglypuff's Pound inflicts COLORLESS damage onto your opponent.
