Each player has their own deck of cards and they are responsible for them. During each player's turn, they will be drawing cards from their OWN deck, playing cards to their OWN side of the table, and moving cards about on their OWN side of the table. The confusion may be with an aspect of the game called: "Prize Cards". At the beginning of a game, both players will set aside 6 of their OWN cards (from the top of their deck) and place them face down on their OWN side of the table. During the course of the game, if a player is doing well, they will get to draw their OWN prize cards and use them in the game. They do NOT draw the prize cards from their opponent's side of the table. This rule has been misinterpreted in the past and may be the source of the problems. However, in future sets of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, new cards will be released that WILL allow a player to manipulate the cards of an opponent during the course of a game. These cards are highly collectible and have inordinately high values associated with them right now. Collectors and Players must ALWAYS be mindful of their cards and avoid situations that will put them at risk of theft. Brian Brokaw
