A Buzzapped Electrode is ONLY an energy card as long as it is attached to a Pokemon (and doesn't leave play). You can discard it when cards tell you to discard energy cards, or you can move it around if cards tell you to move around energy cards, but it must stay in play. As soon as it leaves play, it reverts back to a normal Electrode card (a Pokemon card). So, whether it is in your discard pile or your deck, Electrode is a Pokemon card and not an energy card (regardless of whether it has Buzzapped or not in the past). Brian Brokaw
