That is perfectly legal. 1) Devolution Spray WILL allow you to discard more than 1 Evolution card. 2) The damage WILL knock out your Mysterious Fossil. 3) The Fossil will NOT yield your opponent a prize. 4) Your turn is NOT over, so you can go to town! :-) Of course, I don't plan on using a whole lot of Devo Sprays in my decks just on the off-chance that this will come in handy!
