It would only do the base damage because all 3 energy attached to Clefairy are required to pay Metronome's attack requirement. Additional Water energy attached to Clefairy (beyond those 3) will allow Clefairy to "pump up" its attack. > I also have a Team Rocket Energy. I'm afraid that I don't have accurate spoilers for the Japanese sets... only general knowledge about the cards. You will want to check Scrye magazine or various websites for Japanese spoilers. > If Exeggutor used (let's say 5 energy attached to it) Big Eggsposion and > the defending Pokemon had a Defender on it, would Defender protect the > Defending Pokemon from all hits of Big Eggsposion, or just 1 hit? It would only defend against 20 damage. Big Eggsplosion's Base damage is always calculated first, so you would have to flip all of the coins before you get to the step of damage calculation that allows you to use Defender's ability. > Also, do you know who made the RainDance deck? I know you made the > Haymaker (which can beat most of my friends). Well, I really dislike being called the creator of Haymaker. The original Haymaker deck that my son Seamus and I created was NO WAY as good as what most people consider a "Haymaker" nowadays. I did name one of our decks "Haymaker" back in January of this year, posted it to my website (then called "The Brokamon Center") and it got "tweaked" over and over since then. The real inspiration to that deck style was Alan Kwan who posted a note about the 2 best Basic Pokemon in the game: Electabuzz and Hitmonchan. Alan Kwan ALSO posted a few decks of his own. One was a really cool Psychic and Fire deck and the other popular one (back in January) was "Rain Dance". He was the first guy to show us how to exploit Blastoise' Power... Brian Brokaw
