However, if the game is too complex for him (it may be at 6, if he doesn't have someone around to help him learn), then stick to buying "booster packs". These are the $3.29 packs of 11 cards. The most popular booster packs right now are still "Base set" boosters. These are the blue wrapper booster packs (3 different styles with either Charizard, Venusaur, or Blastoise on the cover), and they are the only packs to possibly find the coveted CHARIZARD foil card ;-) Brian Brokaw
