What are these, and do they have an impact on rarity or game addition? The "Pokemon World" all originates from the Game Boy games. If you have not yet tried these YOU MUST! They are awesome! (I'm talking Red or Blue here... not Pinball, etc...) Level and Monster Number are references to the Game Boy game. But they also help describe the card. For example, Monster Number #025 is Pikachu. It is ALWAYS Pikachu. No other POkemon has #025. Also, in the card game, just like the game boy game, there can be MANY different Pikachu's. Some are lower "Level" and are slightly weaker, and some are high "Level" and are slightly stronger. In the card game you can fully describe a card by saying it's Monster Number (or Name) and its Level. Example: Level 12 Pikachu is from the Basic Set. Level 14 Pikachu is from the Jungle set. And Level 16 Pikachu is a special Promo card only available from the official Pokemon League run by Wizards of the Coast. 2: This may be related to the above question, but here it is: How can I tell which addition my cards are? I'm pretty sure they are from the basic set, and definitely English, but I don't know if any of the cards have been re-released since I bought these. Only 2 major releases for both sets (Basic and Jungle). The first release (of each) had a "Edition 1" stamp on them. The second release did not.
