> i recently found a holographic nidoqueen and a holographic mr. mime in two > separate jungle booster packs, only they do not have the jungle sign on > them. Are these cards a misprint, or are they counterfeit? plaease write back > asap!! Those are misprints. We don't have any official info about them yet, but lots of people are reporting this. Everyone that has reported it has indicated that they were holographic and from Jungle. Perhaps it is related to the upcoming release of Base Set 2? we just don't know. No reports of Fossil cards with missing expansion symbols. No reports of non-holo cards getting screwed up. We don't know how MANY of these cards are out in the market, but we are guessing a LOT based on the number of emails we receive about it. Also, PoJo.com does NOT maintain value lists for misprint cards. I know that lots of folks think that they strike it rich when the factory screws up their cards. I don't really understand why they think this, but lots do. With baseball cards, or other collectible cards, perhaps error cards were highly coveted by collectors. Traditionally these errors didn't occur very often and would be in very limited distribution before ultimately being corrected. This isn't the case with Pokemon. When WOTC screws something up, they do it big time. These cards are so wildly popular, that a minor mistake in card layout gets mass distributed before anyone has a chance to notice the error and correct it. This is why EVERY 1st Edition Jungle Electrode has the wrong art. This is why EVERY 1st Edition Base set card says "99" in Nintendo's copyright. This is why EVERY 1st Edition Fossil Zapdos has some missing foil. We just don't find lots of people buying/selling these kind of common errors. So we can't gauge a reasonable "value" for them.
