Ok, so that is my deck, I really like Harpie cards.

I don't like those other decks so this is my deck I think it is very good, but your the man so I'm taking advice from you so when you post this on Pojo I might have to send you another one of my decks so have fun! ^_^

Hello Chad. One thing that I’m going to immediately drop is the Harpie’s Pet Dragon (In order to keep it all English and tournament legal). I also noticed that your deck was much lower than the 40-card minimum. This will all be arranged,

Though.

In order to keep the deck enjoyable for you, I will be sticking to the whole Harpie theme. It may not be the most competitive deck, but it will be a great casual deck.

Lets begin by adjusting the Monsters a bit…

3 – Harpie Lady
3 – Harpie Lady Sisters

3 – Harpie’s Brother (New from English Pharaoh’s Servant) *
2 – Witch of the Black Forest
3 – Magician of Faith
2 – Maha Vailo

1 – Jinzo (New from English Pharaoh’s Servant – Restricted to one in Japan) *

1 – Cyber Jar

This is a much stronger choice for a Monster line up. Check out the bottom of this review if you don’t know what the new Jinzo and Harpie’s Brother do. Man-Eater Bug is outdated and unnecessary while 7 Colored Fish lost his spot to Harpie’s Brother. Even though La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the lamp is still a good card, a unique deck needs unique cards such as Maha Vailo. Blue-Eyes White Dragon is just an awful card all together, but Jinzo and Cyber Jar are much too good to not play. Magician of Faith belongs in most decks. It is easily one of the best Flip Effect Monsters in the game. Eighteen Monsters should be about right with both Call of the Haunted and Premature Burial at our disposal.

Let’s take a look at a very important part of any deck… The Magic.

1 – Pot of Greed
1 – Raigeki
1 – Dark Hole

1 – Change of Heart
1 – Snatch Steal
1 – Monster Reborn

1 – Premature Burial (New from English Pharaoh’s Servant – Restricted to one in Japan) *

2 – Swords of Revealing Light
2 – Heavy Storm

3 – Elegant Egotist

3 – Axe of Despair
2 – Rising Air Current

That gives us nineteen Magic cards. The first nine listed should be self-explanatory. Elegant Egotist is what makes the deck run smooth. Allowing you to summon more than one Monster per turn (Though, it does have to be Harpy Lady or Harpie Lady Sisters). Combine that with Snatch Steal, Change of Heart, Premature Burial, Call of the Haunted, and Monster Reborn, you can get lethal, allied attacks to your opponent’s Life Points quickly.

Axe of Despair is great with Maha Vailo as well as Harpy Lady. Since Harpy Lady is such a weak Monster, a +1000 ATK enhancer backs it up nicely. Rising Air Current is great because it gives Harpy Lady, Harpie Lady Sisters, and Harpie’s Brother a permanent +500 ATK (As long as it’s on the field).

Let’s see what we want to include in the Trap card section…

1 – Mirror Force
1 – Imperial Order (New from English Pharaoh’s Servant – Restricted to one in Japan) *
1 – Call of the Haunted (New from English Pharaoh’s Servant – Restricted to one in Japan) *

As you can see, all we added in the way of Trap cards are the staples. For this type of deck, this is all we need. Trap Hole isn’t necessary, because our Monsters should be able to overwhelm the opponent if summoned swiftly enough. Seven Tools of the Bandit has lost power since Metal Raiders, while Magic Jammer is better replaced by the soon-to-be restricted Imperial Order.

There it is Chad, good luck with it!
