Hi. As you've probably read in the subject, I think my deck is too large. I have 60 cards in my deck and my opponent doesn't seem to have trouble getting his tribute monsters and wiping out my monsters before I make a tribute. Maybe I don't have enough tribute monsters in my deck. Here's the list:

Monsters:

2 Sangan
2 Hane-Hane
3 Jirai Gumo
3 7 Colored Fish
1 Wall of Illusion
2 Mask of Darkness
3 Dark Elf
1 Giant Soldier of Stone
2 Witch of the Black Forest
2 La Jinn
2 Shadow Ghoul
1 Summoned Skull
2 Magician of Faith
1 Man-Eater Bug
1 Sanga of the Thunder
1 Suijin
1 Barrel Dragon
1 Blue-Eyes
1 Dark Magician

Magic:

1 Card Destruction
1 Swords of Revealing Light
2 Heavy Storm
1 Soul Exchange
1 Change of Heart
2 Paralyzing Potion
1 Last Will
1 Sword of Dark Destruction
1 Monster Reborn
2 Fissure
2 Sword of Deep-Seated
1 Dian Keto
1 De-spell
1 Dark Hole

Traps:

1 Horn of Heaven
1 Magic Jammer
1 Mirror Force
1 Acid Trap Hole
1 Waboku
1 Ultimate Offering
2 Reinforcements
1 Trap Hole
1 Robbin' Goblin

I think Magic may be my problem, but all my cards seem so good. I need some outside expert opinion

[I just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be including any Magic Ruler in my fixes until I can see the complete Card List / Spoiler.]

Hello Tray41. Before I get started on specific fixes, let me just tell you that having single copies of most of your cards isn't a very good idea. In a game with such little draw power like Duel Monsters, you want to be very consistent.

Increasing the numbers of your cards will help you greatly. Remember this, consistency wins.

Lets get to the specifics...

-Monsters-

Your playing too many different types of Tribute monsters. Choose a theme and stick with it. Everybody's favorite is Summoned Skull. So we will base your deck around that.

Here is an example of what your monsters should look like:

-21-

3x La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp
3x 7 Colored Fish
3x Summoned Skull
2x Witch of the Black Forest
3x Dark Elf
2x Wall of Illusion
3x Magician of Faith
2x Man-Eater Bug

This choice of monsters give you both solid attackers and defenders. Lets face it, Dark Magician isn't too hot. Summoned Skull is just a much better monster overall.

Suijin and Sanga of the Thunder are two other monsters that didn't belong in this deck (Or any for that matter). Barrel Dragon and BEWD both need decks based around just them to work. You can't expect to win with so many single copies of bad/mediocore tribute monsters.

I also noticed that you were playing with a high amount of monsters (32 to be exact). A good rule is not play with anything over 20-24 monsters. I know you had Shadow Ghoul in there, but the problem is, Shadow Ghoul based decks don't work well.

Onto the Magic...

-Magic-

Lets see...

-15-

3x Fissure
2x Heavy Storm
2x Swords of Revealing Light
3x Stim Pack
1x Raigeki
1x Dark Hole
1x Change of Heart
1x Monster Reborn
1x Pot of Greed

All the restricted cards are self explanatory. If you can't get ahold of any Heavy Storms, you can add De-Spell or Card Destruction in their place.

Even though Stim Pack slowly eats your monsters ATK away, it's still a pretty good card because most of the time your monsters won't last very long anyway. Stim Pack works great on Dark Elf / 7 Colored Fish / La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp. It makes them all equal to or above the ATK of a regular Summoned Skull.

-Traps-

-10-

3x Trap Hole
2x Magic Jammer
2x Robbin' Goblin
1x Mirror Force
2x Seven Tools of the Bandit / Waboku (Your Choice)

Trap Hole is a given, along with Mirror Force and Magic Jammer. Robbin' Goblin is just a very devastating card if used correctly.

I left the choice of Seven Tools of the Bandit to you because, alot of times you will find yourself with a useless Seven Tools of the Bandit on the field. If your opponent is laying a beating on you, Seven Tools  of the Bandit isn't going to turn that around. Waboku on the other hand, will. It has plenty of uses and you will most likely use them all up each game (If you draw them that is).

That gives us a total of 46 cards. I recommend playing the deck over and over and cutting it down to 40-42. This  improved version of your deck should win you a fair amount of games.

Good Luck!
