Subject: Deck Fix - Deck Depletion

Hiya! My name's mike, and I'm trying to build a "deck-your-opponent-out" type of deck. I've been having trouble since UD restrained Card destruction (-_-*).
    So anyways, here's my deck!

Witch of the Black forest - 1

Sangan - 2

The Bistro butcher - 3

Magician of faith - 3

Morphing jar #2 - 2

Morphing jar - 1

Cyber jar - 1

Magic cards - 19

Swords of revealing lights - 1

Pot of Greed - 1

Dark hole - 1

Change of heart - 1

Raigeki - 1

Monster reborn - 1

Card destruction - 1

Nobleman of Crossout - 2

Nobleman of Extermination - 2

Shallow Grave - 3

Giant Trunade - 2

Messenger of Peace - 3

Trap cards - 14

Torrential Tribute - 1

gravity Bind - 3

Magic drain - 3

The eye of Truth - 1

Waboku - 3

Solemn judgement - 1

Chain destruction - 1

Mirror force - 1

Total - 46

I'd really appreciate it if you would please help me fix it up a lil. And money isn't an issue, so change it however you like.

Thanks

Mike T.

Hey Mike. Nice to see original decks every once in awhile, even if they don't win every game. Though I haven't used Deck Depletion type decks recently, I used to have one that I would whip out every now and then. It worked pretty well, considering the fact that there wasn't a lot of cards to support it. Lets see what we can do with the deck now-a-days.

Monster: 13

1x Witch of the Black Forest
2x Sangan
1x Cyber Jar
2x Morphing Jar #2
1x Morphing Jar
3x Magician of Faith
3x Spear Cretin
You pretty much already had the base of the deck down. The Bistro Butcher was dropped because all it does is give your opponent more options without benefiting you at all.

Spear Cretin was added so you can reuse Morphing Jar, Morphing Jar #2, Cyber Jar and Magician of Faith.

Magic: 20

1x Pot of Greed
1x Raigeki
1x Dark Hole
1x Change of Heart
1x Swords of Revealing Light
1x Card Destruction
1x Giant Trunade
2x Graceful Charity
2x Nobleman of Crossout
2x Tribute to the Doomed
2x The Dark Door
3x The Shallow Grave
2x Messenger of Peace
3x Scapegoat

I really dislike Tribute to the Doomed but it actually works well in this deck. With all the Spear Cretins and The Shallow Graves, destroying your opponent's face down Monster may be very important.

Nobleman of Extermination is better suited for the Side Deck. Most Beatdown decks run about 5-6 Trap cards at max. And usually all of them are restricted (Besides Torrential Tribute).

The Dark Door works well in this deck for obvious reasons.

Even though Graceful Charity decks the wrong person. It helps you set up your hand. Which will be necessary for a good start.

Trap: 10

2x Torrential Tribute
2x Gravity Bind
2x Magic Jammer
3x Waboku
1x Mirror Force

Chain Destruction is just minor depletion. This deck can do much better than that with the cards it already contains.

Between two Messenger of Peace and two The Dark Door, only two Gravity Bind were needed as well.

Magic Drain doesn't accomplish much in this deck. You want their hand to be mildly large. Also, when you have to counter something, it needs to be for sure. Magic Drain is much to easy to bypass, especially in this deck.

Thanks for sending in the deck, and good luck with it.
