Dark Paladin
Thursday

Neos Wiseman, a monster with Neos in it's name who isn't a Fusion monster, is an effect monster that is Level 10 with an impressive 3000 attack and Defense, and even a Spellcaster, of the Light attribute.

Now, Neos Wiseman can only be Special Summoned by sending one face-up Elemental Hero Neos and one face-up Yubel you control to the Graveyard.
That is absolutely terrible. Look, the odds of you having both of those monsters on the Field at the same time isn't so great.

When was the last time, even if you WERE playing this Deck even to summon this card you had Neos and Yubel out at the same time? They have to be ON THE FIELD...not in your Hand, not some combination of each, but both on the Field, and that really kills playability folks.

The effects are good, I won't lie. Not being able to be destroyed by card effects is beautiful. Inflicting damage while destroying a monster to your opponent equal to the attack of the destroyed monster is also wondeful. Plus, for protection, you gain Lifepoints equal to that destroyed monsters defense.

If you get this Secret Rare, just let it rest in the trade binder, or trade it away to someone for something you can actually play.

1.5/5 like WHOA

Art: 3/5 Even the picture isn't that great.
General Zorpa Neos Wiseman

This guy is another impossible Neos Fusion. What's worse, you cannot use E-Hero support directly because he is not an Elemental Hero, nor a Fusion monster. Yuck! Well 3000 ATK and 3000 DEF on a DARK Warrior with a ring of destruction effect is pretty good.

You can only summon this guy by tributing a Yubel and Elemental Hero Neos on your side of the field. Prisma and Phantom of Chaos can help with that, removing Yubel and copying Neos so that you do not actually have to have them on the field for the summon of this guy. Oh wait! You have to have this guy in your hand as well!

To make up for his impossible summoning condition that even Jaden found hard to do, he is indestructible. That means he can't die in battle or to a card effect. This is a pretty comprehensive defense. Except for the fact that Compulsory Evacuation Device and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast are the preferred means of removal now, getting around his effect. Darn, and he was just beginning to look decent.

The second effect is why you play him. You ring of destruction a monster that he battles with in addition to any Battle Damage that you have already done. As if that wasn't enough, he gains you life equal to the destroyed monster's DEF. Nice!

Basically if you have the balls to get this guy out, your opponent should just scoop it up because you did the impossible. He is so hard to summon that I think that Gate Guardian has a better chance of being played. Ouch. But like I said, if your opponent doesn't spin, bounce or remove him, you should win the game based on his effect alone.

Neos Wiseman

This card is awesome, in my opinion. No buildup. No teasing. I love this card. I really can’t fathom why this card hasn’t gained the popularity I think it deserves…

So let’s look at it, shall we? – 3000 ATK, 3000 DEF. That’s awesome right there. He’s Light. Also very good. But he’s a Spellcaster. Meh. He’s a heck’uv’lotta stars, but he’s a special summon by his own effect anyway, so it doesn’t matter. He’s a Nomi, which nobody likes. But at least he then can’t be ever revived from your graveyard to use against u. So then is his effect big enough to warrant play? – Like Stone Cold would say – Gimme a HELL YEAH!!

He cannot be destroyed be card effects. How awesome is that?!? So he can’t be popped by your opponent’s DAD, nor their Judgment Dragon’s explosive techniques. DAD just can’t plain touch him as DAD is 200 points too weak to beat him in battle, and JD will have to suicide against him. No Black Rose Dragon. No Smashing Ground. No Torrential Tribute. No Mirror Force or Sakuretsus. Not even that dumb little Snipe Hunter. Nothing feels better than attacking without worry. Although the Wiseman can still be removed from play or bounced back to the deck, so you have to be mindful of that. But he’s a BEAST when he hits the field. What’s more? Your opponent cannot stall u out by hiding in Defense mode as the more the Wiseman attacks something, the higher your Lifepoints get and the lower your opponent’s go.

The only tough part is getting Neos and Yubel on the field at the same time. But there are a bunch of shortcuts to make both of those possible.

He Rocks.
