Dark Paladin

Black Brutdrago, is a Level 8 Dragon-type Synchro monster, of the Fire attribute, with 3000 attack, and 2600 defense. Black Brutdrago is Synchro Summoned by one Tuner and one or more non-Tuner Gemini monsters...now, believe it or not, you could actually build a pretty interesting Gemini Deck around this guy...

Once per turn you can send one Gemini monster from your Hand to the Graveyard to destroy one Magic or Trap card your opponent controls.
Nice effect, and if you're playing the Gemini Deck (which you are if you play this...) it won't be a problem. Destroying Magic and Traps are usually a good thing.

Finally, when this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can select one Gemini monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it.
The chosen monster is treated as an Effect monster and gains its effect. That, would be the real payoff in this card. Even if you didn't have something powerful to use when you summoned this card, you might from a discard later.

Black Brutdrago

Here we have the new Gemini Synchro monster. It is a level 8 FIRE Dragon with 3000 ATK and 2600 DEF. These are some pretty awesome stats, as they are even pretty much with Red Dragon Archfiend, and can make a Stardust player weep. It doesn't need a specific Tuner, but specific non-Tuners. They all have to be Gemini. So that pretty much means a level 4 Tuner like Rose, Warrior of Revenge or Soldier of the Mist Valley. Or Tuned Magician. I am beginning to see a pattern emerge.

Anyway, the effect is that you can send a Gemini monster from your hand to the garveyard to destroy a spell or trap card your opponent controls. This can be very useful, especially when you are reading Mirror Force or Dimensional Prison. You can even cheapen the cost by playing Dark Factory of Mass Production, which gets you two Normal Monsters (Geminis) from your graveyard to your hand.

The second effect is golden as well, as if it is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, you get a Gemini from your graveyard with it's effetc turned on. So if your opponent DOES manage to get over it, you get a consolation prize, much like Light and Darkness Dragon of old.

This guy is definitely a one-of in a Gemini deck, as you can really abuse his effects as well as do some crazy damage as well. if he were a Gemini, he would be so much better and worse than he is now at the same time. He even blows the Gemini's other extra deck card, Superalloy Beast Raptinus, out of the water, and they can even work well in the same deck.

I am super-excited about Gemini decks now, as with the new Structure deck and SOVR, they have too much good stuff to ignore. I have built a very good Spellcaster based build and it has been destroying the local tournament scene. I am planning at running it at Regionals this weekend at Superstars in San Jose if any of you want to check it out.

This guy is not a main force of the deck, more of a cutting edge knnife that you bust out when you need it. I would love to see him in action at a big tournament, and I can even see that happening fairly easily as a Gemini deck can really be a force to be reckoned with.

Black Brutdrago …

Ahhh the Butt Dragon … Such a fun name of a card to have fun with … But a very good card, besides!

Probably the best Synchro to come out the last set. 8 stars. Dragon type. Whopping 3000 ATK with a sturdy 2600 DEF. Yeah, this guy is a beast. He’s got an MST in his back pocket, once per turn, by discarding a Gemini monster … which is the only deck u should really be playing him in … and Gemini’s have proven themselves very competitive as of late (stupid Gigavise …) So quite often, he can attack without fear of running smack dab into a buzz saw. Few things can stand up to his strength, and if your opponent DOES manage to destroy him, u can then special summon a Gemini monster from your graveyard. No restrictions and it gains its effect. No how chewy is THAT??? … Yep. Pretty damn chewy.

Brutdrago. One heck of a good card. You need at least 1 Gemini to synchro summon it, but its all worth it in the end. Once a turn you can discard a Gemini monster to destroy a spell or trap your opponent has, and when its destroyed you can special summon a Gemini monster from the graveyard and it gets its effect. 3000 attack is pretty decent as well. Combos that I see as very popular are mostly with Supervise. Equipping it to a gemini monster you're about to use as a Synchro material, when Supervise is destroyed you can special summon a Gemini monster back from the graveyard. If you have Superalloy Beast Raptinus the monster you bring back gets its effect or if you haven't normal summoned you can second summon and so on. Black Brutdrago is an awesome card for Gemini decks. Definately a must for any Gemini deck.

Black Brutdrago:

A card that helps out essentially any deck that is running geminis and tuners.  I really love gigavise and other gemini decks so this card is a favorite of mine.  Essentially in all gemini variants there is a way to continuously use these guys.  Plants can use Gigaplant and Nettles to synchro him.  Then when Brutdrago gets destroyed, bring back Gigaplant with Brutdrago's effect and use Gigaplant's effect to bring back Nettles.  Repeat as necessary.  The other popular gemini variant is superzombies and it works in much the same way.  Ill Blud + Plaguespreader for Brutdrago, then when he bites the dust, bring back Ill Blud, who can then bring back Plaguespreader, etc...  Brutdrago's first effect is also great if you are running more than 3 geminis in your deck (plants/zombies only need 3 Ill Bluds or 3 Gigaplants), but can be beneficial if you need to dump one of the 3 you are running to the grave (which plants and zombies need to do).  A solid card for a forgotten archetype.
