Dark Paladin
Thursday

Dark Strike Fighter, a rather boring Synchro monster, who doesn't seem to have anything to do with Aliens...he sort of resembles a Transformer...Anyway, this is a Level 7 Synchro monster, and 7 is a bit harder to summon than 8 but who is Dark with 2600 attack and 1800 defense...Synchro Summoned with 1 Tuner and one or more non-Tuner monsters.

Effect? Simple and bland...You can tribute one monster to inflict damge to your opponent equal to its Level x 200. Wow...you go through this for a Synchro Summon with 2600 attack, and a pathetic burn...a Level 10 is only going to do your 2000 damage...and why would you tribute said Level 10 monster?

It just seems like a waste of a perfectly good Synchro Summon, I'm sorry folks.

General Zorpa Dark Strike Fighter

This is the chase card of the Crimson Crisis set. Last I looked, they were also the second most expensive card, behind Blackwing Armor Master. His stats are actually average to meh. We have a DARK Machine Synchro of level 7 that has 2600 ATK and 1800 DEF. The stats are meh, but he is ridiculously easy to summon. Blackwings are famous for using this card, as they can easily Synchro to seven with all of their Tuner monsters. He doe snot have a specific Synchro requirement, so he can be Synchro Summoned by any monster of hte correct levels.

The effect is what makes this card golden. You can tribute a monster on the field to inflict 200 damage per level star to your opponent. You can even use this effect on himself. The idea is to swarm with Blackwing monsters and inflict massive damage and then Synchro into Dark Strike Fighter, launching all of your monsters in order to finish off your opponent's lifepoints. The Black Salvo OTK also used Dark Strike Fighter. Basically you Special Summon Demise, King of Armageddon and destroy the field. Then you Synchro Summon Dark Strike Fighter and attack with bot monsters. Then you launch your two level 8 monsters with DSF's effect and finish the game.

This card is at least a one-of in any deck that is packing a Tuner or any way to steal an opposing monster. I would STRONGLY recommend at least 2 if you have the space though. This guy is simply amazing. He himself represents 4000 points of direct damage, which is only matched by the amazing trap card, Magical Explosion. If you do not have a Dark Strike Fighter, you will need to get one as soon as you can. The card will be a major force in an deck packing Synchros and can even win games all on his burn effect.

An unused combo with Aliens allows you to burn infinitely with DSF while infinitely Special Summoning with Code A Ancient Ruins. Again, see my article on Aliens so that you can see the details of the combo.

Dark Strike Fighter …

The best card this week. Easily. The best 7-star Synchro? Perhaps.

Let’s take a look. 2600 ATK. Ok – that rocks for a Synchro. Runs over that pesky level 8 Stardust Dragon that’s giving u a headache. Makes mincemeat of the very popular level 7 Black Rose Dragon. (... Mmmm ... "mincemeat" ... ) Also DSF’s "dark" attribute is more useful than that of BOTH previously mentioned dragons, should it hit the graveyard. And his effect? – Well let’s just say – he ends games. Out by himself with nothing else on the field? – he’s causing 4000 LP damage. (2600 direct attack + 1400 burn when he tributes himself) Even if u aren’t swinging at an open field, sometimes that 1400 LP is all u need to finish things up. If you have other monsters on the field with DSF? – Even better. He'll shoot THOSE off 1st for even more damage. Dude never even has to declare an attack. He’s=2 0a terrific choice for synchronization, especially for the new Black Wing Decks, what with Gale being a level 3 Tuner, which tunes nicely for uneven level 7’s like DSF … And u don't even need specific TYPES of monsters to Synch for him, like some other Synchros of late ...

Do u hear what i'm trying to tell ya?! – DSF has no flaws!

Today we review probably the most broken card in Crimson Crisis, Dark Strike Fighter. This card can easily give you the win. A few weeks ago we reviewed Black Salvo, well it is a level 3 Tuner that can bring back a level 4 DARK Machine from the graveyard. Well if you cant do the math, that gives you a level 7 Synchro monster. Black Salvo in the new DemiseOTK deck. Being able to clear the field, then summon Salvo, getting a level 4 machine back and getting Dark Strike Fighter.

Dark Strike Fighter is splashable, broken, and in anyones hand it can make them win. I can see this card being limited or banned come next ban list.
