ExMinion OfDarkness
Dragon Seeker

I think this card is a part of what inspired the Monarchs, oddly enough.

It's a Tribute monster that gets its effect when it's not Special Summoned...and all the ways of other summoning this allows that Monarchs don't are usually not viable (Tsuku/flip back up...meh. Cost down...ew.) It's extremely limited in what you're allowed to destroy with its effect, and the extremely low attack means even a Berserk Gorilla can suicide with it, and a Cyber Dragon can get rid of it without a problem.

It was a weaker card that paved the way for a better cardset that most of us use at least one of today.

1/5 all for playability but 3/5 for being the predecessor to the Monarchs. If it wasn't for Mobius, I don't know where we'd be now.

dawnyoshi Just…no. There is no reason for a player to run bad tribute monsters in this game. :/

Dragon Seeker review

Well, I had completely forgotten that this card existed. I remember it from the video games. So this will be fast. A tribute monster, with only 2000 ATK, and an effect similar to that of Zaborg. Except he can only kill a dragon type monster….. Too bad that dragons don’t see high level play. Essentially if you want to run a monster with this type of effect, run Zaborg.

Traditional: 0.15/5 (there’s CED? I’m trying to give him some credit….)
Advanced: 0.1/5

Dark Paladin
Now, this is quite a crappy card also. Dragon Seeker...we even saw Kaiba use it in Obelisk the Tormentor on the anime. 2000-2100 QUITE low for a tribute. He destroys one Dragon when Normal or Flip summoned successfully.

When was the last time you had to worry about that?

Exactly.

Ratings:

1/5 all

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Dark Maltos
Dragon Seeker

I’ve been saying all week that specific destruction wont work, and this is a prime example.

Dragon seeker is a fiend (wtf) that for whatever reason, seeks out dragons and kills them. A bit harsh, but don’t worry, he can only do this once.

Low stats and a specific destruction effect greatly hurt this monster, although I do like it for some unusual reason. Anyway, don’t run one because Zaborg the Thunder monarch is greatly superior.

1/5 - Take that CED !!!, on second thoughts…no..

1/5 : Take that…..Mirage Dragon? ….erm…no…

Art ; 3/5 : really is quite freaky huh?

Ryoga
Dragon Seeker:
Meh. This may have once been considered a good idea, but if it was, I wasn't playing then.

2000 ATK for a tribute is slightly below what is realy worth playing. It has a type-stamped Zaborg effect that is actually slightly easier to use (ie. should you reduce his level by 2 and summon him straight, you still get the effect, unlike Monarchs). However, there aren't a particularly huge number of dragons in play, so you won't be getting his effect very often.

Do not use this. Not even in the side deck. Dragon decks aren't that dangerous.

Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 1/5

Share and enjoy,
Ryoga
