Coin Flip

Cosmo Queen. Oh look. A 2900 normal monster for 2 Tribs. Hey, where have I seen that before? Oh yeah, the garbage can. If it's a normal monster and has no support for it (unlike Dark Magician or BEWD) then it's crap.

ExMinion OfDarkness Cosmo Queen

For once, I'm going to choose NOT to give this thing a serious review. Some cards are just bad but have glimmers of hope (Dark Magician is a prime example), but this thing just blatantly blows.

If I ever get a Cosmo Queen somehow, I'm going to flush it down the toilet.

The best you can hope for is trading it to someone who actually collects the McDonald's promos.

1/5 everywhere.

Tranorix Masked Sorcerer

I considered doing one of my infamous joke reviews today, but instead I figured I’d review Masked Sorcerer, quite an underrated monster. With only 900 ATK and being LV4, it has serious disadvantages in the statistics department; but he has a great effect.

Inflict damage to your opponent’s Life Points with this guy and you get to draw; it’s kinda like Airknight, only no trample effect and no tributing required. And much worse ATK. But there are, of course, ways around that; a simple Axe of Despair or Mage Power will make Masked Sorcerer a mightily massive monster.

I could definitely see his doing well in certain types of Control Decks, perhaps loaded with Swarms of Scarabs and Locusts (and Des Lacoodas, I suppose). Toss in Messenger of Peace, maybe a few Mataza the Zappers, and of course this guy and you’ve got quite a rentsy deck on your hands.

Snapper Cosmo Queen

Welcome to the final day of Spellcaster Week! Today was originally supposed to be a Reviewer’s Choice, but the higher ups are getting a tad sick of those. So instead we’re reviewing Cosmo Queen, a monster that will receive an equally good review as Dark Magician received.

Some words of advice when using Cosmo Queen for no apparent reason: use Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Some words of advice when using Cosmo Queen for a reason: Um, why?

Advanced: .7/5. Well, it does have a pretty good ATK, but there is still no reason to use it. At least Dark Magician had support…
Traditional: .7/5. See Advanced.
Overall: .7/5.
Art: 3.5/5. The picture of CQ I have on file isn’t the best, but it just looks weird. It reminds me of that principal from Mucha Lucha…

Dark Paladin Cosmo Queen!

Cosmo Queen boasts an impressive 2900 attack points making her just as powerful as Dark Paladin, assuming he isn't being fueled by any Dragons of course.
She
also has a very solid 2450 defense. Now, before I go any further, let's get one thing VERY clear.

This card, if you don't have one, and you want one, you most go to somewhere like e-bay, tw.com, yugiohcard.com, or the like. Why? This card was an Ultra Rare from the little used, seldom known McDonals promo set a while back!
Remember them?

Anyway, she is a good card, and a very solid option for a Spellcaster deck.
However, with Cosmo Queen, Dark Magician, Dark Magician of Chaos, Jinzo and/or Sorcerer of Dark Magic that a lot of tribute monsters for one deck. If you have her though, go ahead and give her a try.

Ratings:

Traditional: 2/5
Advanced: 2.5/5
Limited: 4.5/5 If you went to McDonals and got this card, USE IT!
Art: 3.5/5 Nothing too special

You stay classy until next week, Planet Earth :)
