Tranorix Lord of the Lamp

Disappointed? Yes, well...today's card is Lord of the Lamp, one of the promos from the new Hobby League. It has lackluster stats and no effect. Level 4 is nothing special; 1400 ATK is terrible and 1200 DEF isn't much better. You can search for him with Mystic Tomato but I don't see why you'd want to. He's a Fiend, which means he could potentially be Necrofear food; but again, why you would play this is beyond me.

Which brings me to my next point: Doesn't he look like Joseph Stalin?

Yes! So, I present to you, the loyal Pojo Card of the Day readers, for the first time ever, my creation: The Communist Deck!

MONSTER: 27
1x Lord of the Lamp
2x Red Eyes B. Dragon
3x Giant Red Seasnake
3x Skull Red Bird
3x Red Moon Baby
3x Red Archery Girl
3x Red Eyes B. Chick
3x People Running About
3x Oppressed People
3x United Resistance

SPELL: 6
3x Red Medicine
3x Cold Wave

TRAP: 7
3x Non-Aggression Area
3x Huge Revolution
1x Ceasefire

We have Lord of the Lamp, Stalin himself. We have a lovely assortment of "Red" monsters; I'm sure you can see why. People Running About, Oppressed People, and United Resistance all combine for the Huge Revolution...the Communist Revolution! Red Medicine – self explanatory. Cold Wave represents the harsh Russian winter that defeated Napoleon and Hitler (and/or the Cold War). Non-Aggression Area represents the Non-Aggression Pact that Lord of the Lamp – err, Stalin – made with Hitler in the WWII era. Ceasefire represents the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War.

Traditional – CCCC: 1/5
Traditional – Communist Deck: 5/5
Advanced – Communist Deck: 5/5

See, Lord of the Lamp isn't quite as useless as you might think! Try this deck out. You'll be laughed out of the tournament, but hey…

This week gets better, I promise.
ExMinion OfDarkness Lord of the Lamp

The only reason I'm writing anything here is to not destroy my flawless record of having put out a CotD review for every CotD we've done since I've started.

If you play this card, I will smack you.

If you think this card is good in a deck, you are stupid or under the influence of illegal drugs. (Or Evan Vargas)

1/5 everywhere. The only thing it's good for is adding a few measly cents to my mass common sales.
Snapper Lord of the Lamp

Welcome to An Assortment of New Cards Week! If you’re reading this, don’t
waste your time reading any further. Anyway, our first card is Lord of the
Lamp, what I can only assume to someone’s idea of a cruel joke.

Stats: Lord of the Lamp has 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF, allowing you to search
for it with Witch of the Black Forest, Sangan, and Mystic Tomato. These
stats aren’t ideal; the ATK is okay, but it won't kill much. It’s a DARK
monster, giving it unlimited possibilities. It is also a Fiend-Type. Fiends
as you may or may not know tend to help each other out; but they can’t help
Lord of the Lamp. Stats – Okay.

Combos: Beats me…

Usability: Lord of the Lamp shouldn't and won't appear in a serious deck.
It's as easy as that.

All that can be said about Lord of the Lamp is that it’s a good thing there
are better cards with basically the same stats (La Jinn the Mystical Genie
of the Lamp, Archfiend Soldier, etc.)

Advanced Format: .1/5. No explanation needed.
Traditional Format: .1/5. No explanation needed.
Art: 1.5/5. Nothing special…
Coin Flip Lord of the Lamp: Really, why are you even reading this? You know my
opinion, the card is shoddy. Now go read Tranorix's review. Again.
His brilliance amazes me.

1/5 anywhere
5/5 anywhere NEAR Lord Tranorix's hands. Man, I can feel the iron
fist of Stalin already. Must... Summon... Joseph... McCarthy...

Noone gets it, of course, because noone reads Bob and George or read
up on the witch hunts of the 1950's.
dawnyoshi Lord of the Lamp is super duper great!!!

If you read the character text, it says that this monster grants the wish of its summoner. All you have to do is wish that you can win the game that turn, and voila! This little guy wins the game! Isn't that just too great?

...obviously I'm lying. This card's terrible. I can't even be positive about it, and people think I'm overly positive on a lot of cards. =/

JAELOVE

Monday: Lord of the Lamp

Rated For: :D.

I have no idea why Lord Tranorix selected this card, but I’m sure I’ll find out when I read his review on it :-D.

Lord of the Lamp is one of the two new Hobby League cards; this one is rather peculiar as a 1400/1200 monster.

There’s no reason to go into a detailed review of this card; you should know what a 1400/1200 normal monster is worth in this environment.

Advantage F/H: 1400/1200 can’t kill much, can’t defend against anything, serves no purpose. 0/10.

Best Draw for the Situation: 0/10.

Attributes/Effect: 0/10.

Dependability: 0/10.

The Bottom Line: Worthless.

A BAD Score:            0/10.
