ExMinion OfDarkness Thursday:
Enemy Controller

Change of Heart's replacement post-ban, a nice ally with it right now. This card has a LOT of potential and it's pretty obvious as to why.

You either use it to stop an attack or get something ready to be killed at no cost...or you give up a monster and borrow one of theirs. With all the Trample that's seeing play, shifting something to Defense in the form of a Quick-Play Spell is pretty darn good.

Imagine the evilness if you use Change of Heart or Snatch Steal to take one of their monsters, and sacrifice that through Enemy Controller, Wicked, no?

I don't know this card's full potential yet -- I'm fairly sure there's a combo I missed. Hopefully, the other CotD guys will cover me today. Besides...I've taken up enough of your life with my first two CotDs this week.

4/5
Tranorix Thursday: Enemy Controller

Enemy Controller is another highly anticipated card from Ancient Sanctuary. Now, the thing about it is that it's really two cards: You have a watered-down Book of Moon effect, and you have a watered-down Change of Heart effect all in one (Quickplay) Magic. Not bad...

The first effect is definitely useful; it can stop a troublesome attacker and save your Life Points, or it can just nuke Berserk Gorilla. You can also force weaker monsters (like Sheep Tokens) into ATK to pound on them.

The second is interesting...it's basically Change of Heart, but you need to sacrifice a monster. This works very well with Scapegoat or searchers like Witch and Sangan; you either won't mind or WANT to get rid of these monsters, and gaining an opponent's monster for a turn can certainly be game-breaking (that's why Change of Heart is being banned). Attack with the monster you take, or sac it to Cannon Soldier if it's troublesome. Very nice.

Granted, sometimes the second effect won't help you at all (chances are you may not even be able to use it), but then the first effect comes back into play. This makes Enemy Controller a very versatile card.

Typical tournament deck: 3.5/5
Burn deck: 4/5
OVERALL RATING: 3.8/5
MerrilHess Enemy Controller

Pros:
This is the new Change of Heart........kinda. It's a quick-play, so it's chainable. It totally owns Berserk Gorilla because of it's position changing effect and can be a Waboku if you take your opponent's biggest creature or only creature. The position changing effect also helps trample decks.

Cons:
This card has 2 abilities, but you can only choose one. In order to take a creature, you must offer one of your own. Not good, not good at all, because you'll be left -1 field advantage at end of turn. You can only change 1 creature's position, too. It's an Ultra Rare, which makes it hard to find.

Overall, I give Enemy Controller a 5.9/10 Pre-Ban; a 7.9/10 Post-Ban.
