ExMinion OfDarkness Monday:
Gogiga Gagagigo

This card was SO, SO close to being good...

Obviously, you'd only play this thing in a Water deck with the other Water monsters. 2950 isn't bad for a two-trib: 3150 with ALO out.

The problem with this card deals with ALO. Had they made this card 7 stars, then ALO would make it 6, being a one-tribute 3150 attacker. I mean...they already have Giga as a 2650 4-star monster with ALO out...that wouldn't have been that much worse.

But SOLELY because of that extra level star, this card gets:

1/5
Tranorix Monday: Gogiga Gagagigo

We open off this week with the card bearing YGO's most confusing name, Gogiga Gagagigo (G7 for short). Looking at the stats, you can see that he's a fairly solid monster. He’s Level 8, so he requires two tributes; but he has a great ATK of 2950 and an almost as high DEF of 2800.

With A Legendary Ocean on the field, he'll get even stronger than a Blue Eyes, though he still, unfortunately, requires the two tributes. In all fairness, he's simply not as good as his little brother, Giga Gagagigo, who becomes a no-tribute 2650 with ALO on the field. He may be worth trying out in a WATER deck though, simply because of the raw power. Anywhere else, there's really no reason to deck him.

Typical tournament deck: 2/5
WATER deck: 3.5/5
OVERALL RATING: 2.8/5
Otaku

Stats: Gogiga Gagagigo is a huge Level 8 Water/Reptile.  It has a sizable 2950 ATK and 2800 DEF.  Those stats are pretty good, but simply not good enough.  This thing has to compete with BEWD, which has like twice as many ways as normal to get it into play.  Still, once in play, it’s a titan.

Effect(s): None, which really hurts the card.

Uses/Combinations: Limited events.  Seriously.

Ratings

Casual: 1.75/5-I guess if you like a big monster, this will float your boat.

Tournament: 1/5-No.

Limited: 3/5-Nice-doubt they have much to compare.

Summary

Well, at least its nice for Limited.  Sorry for the short review, but I got waaaaaaaay behind.

Kuro Basara Gogiga Gagagigo

A vanilla monster review… YAY! I don’t have to take my time on this one.
Not good for water decks because, he’s an 8 Star. Since he has 8 Stars
Legendary Ocean/Atlantis only turns him into a 7 star, which is still takes
two tributes. Not good. Drop and revive isn’t as versatile as it used to
be either. Use the buff 5 star monsters, the cool effect tribute monsters
(Daedalus), and of course WATER SPIRIT!

Casual: 0.5
MerrilHess Gogiga Gagagigo

This is a Water Powerhouse.

Pros:
3150 attack w/ ALO. That is pretty much unbeatable out side of Injection. 2800 defense also stands up to a hell of a lot. He's a common, so he'll be easier to get. Finally, he's water, which goes great with ALO.

Cons:
2 tributes with or without ALO. He's also totally unsearchable. That makes him slow. That's about all I see.

Overall, I give Gogiga Gagagigo a 7/10 in water decks, a 5/10 in anything else (2950 is nothing to laugh at)

Monday: Gogiga Gagagigo

Rated For: A Legendary Ocean Deck

Gogiga Gagagigo continues the trend of Gagagigo cards; this one clocks in at a hefty 2950 attack and a self-crippling eight stars.

Advantage F/H: Basically, you'll be giving two cards up to further field advantage with a 2950 attack monster. Since you're losing two monsters for an effectless one, this gets a below-average 4/10.

Best Draw for the Situation: You never want to draw this guy period. A painful choice dump would be nice. Regardless, he's generally a worthless draw at any situation. 0/10.

Attributes/Effect: The fact that he is an 8 star, requiring two tributes even with ALO out there, makes him inferior to every other water monster, including Giga Gagagigo, Levia Dragon, and even Suijin. I mean, this guy is a water monster that doesn't even benefit from A Legendary Ocean! His 2950 attack and water attribute give him 2/10.

Dependability: Best Draw and Dependability kind of go together. Since you never want to draw this guy, you never want to depend on him either.  0/10.

The Bottom Line: This monster is worthless.

A BAD Score: 6/40= 1.5/10.

Cards it combos well with: Aqua Spirit, The Other Gagagigo's (For a happy family).
