Good morning everyone, it's Tuesday, and before I head off to the first day of hell (i.e. school), it's time to review a burner semi-staple, Catapult Turtle.

Card Text:
Water/Aqua/5/1000/2000
Effect: Offer 1 monster on your side of the Field as a Tribute in order to inflict Direct Damage equal to half of the Tribute monster's ATK to your opponent's Life Points. Monsters used for a Tribute Summon or that are offered as Tributes due to other cards' effects are excluded.

Analysis:
I introduce you to Cannon Soldier on steroids.  This card basically has the same effect as Cannon Soldier, but instead of a set 500 damage, this does 1/2 the sacrificed monster's attack power.  You think that would be overpowering, right?

You have to get it on the field first, though, since it's Level 5.  Your opponent will probably be suspicious if you sacrifice for a face-down defense monster, as there aren't many that you would do that for (only other one is Reaper of the Cards), and you're NOT going to put it in attack mode, unless you use Shield & Sword or are dealing the last bit of damage to win.  The easiest way is to use Last Will, since you can bypass the sacrifice requirement, and it can still be put in defense position (face-up, of course).  Once you get it on the field, you should get its task done quickly.  And this card can do just that.

Should YOU play it?
If you play a burner, put in 2.  Otherwise, run away.

Score:
Catapult Turtle gets a 3.0.  It's an excellent card for burners.  Sorry for the rushed review.  School time =/

Tuesday - Catapult turtle

Today's COTD is Catapult turtle.  It's stats aren't
all that amazing.  The interesting part is the effect.
It allows you to tribute monsters on your side of the
field and do damage to the opponent's LP equal to half
the attack of the tribute monster.

IMO, this card isn't all that good.  It's best late in
the game when your opponent is low on HP.  Let's take
the monster with the highest playable attack for
example.  That would be BEWD.  If you tribute him,
that only does 1500 damage.  I much rather prefer to
keep the BEWD alive.  Although a good strategy would
be to use Change of Heart and launch the opponent's
monster instead.

In a pinch, you can use sword and shield and make the
turtle launch itself to cause 1000LP.

I give this card a 2/5.  It's best used with a
combination of soul exchange or change of heart, but
this card probably wont win the game for you.

Todays COTD is the direct damage turtle.

Pros- Turtle+Last will+Sagan+WOBF+Exodia = 1,2,3 your out.  Right no this combo has to be one of the most powerful combos yet in North America.

    - Do direct damage to your opponents lp from that of half of your monster attack that your are sacrificing for this effect.

Plain and simple if you use this the right way you can really lower the boom on your opponent

Cons- Level 5, so you need to sacrifice a mon to get him out.

    - 1000 attack isnt very much, but its countered with his 2000 def, this can be good if you have a hard shell defence deck and you play shield and sword like its going out of style, then use his effect for maximum damage.

Thoughts- Turtle is a one man show, basically hes only good in one deck and thats turbo exodia.  If your looking to try this exodia combo then i suggest you use Cannon soldier, in my opinion Soldier is a much better card and is much easier to get out and maintain.  So with that in mind in dont suggest using turtle, he was a quick over blown card when Metal raiders was first released but hes only yesterdays news now.
