GX Episode Summary
48. Rise of the Sacred Beasts

Subject: Episode 48- Rise of the Sacred Beasts- Ojamazon Man

This episode starts off with a loud rumbling coming from the spirit gates. An arena is created by the spirit gates, and the spirit keys around Chazz's neck (see the previous episode) start glowing. Chazz is being pulled to the arena, and the rest follow. The keys rip off Chazz's neck, and are absorbed into the arena. A box opens and lets out the Sacred Beasts, and Jaden and the gang rushes to get them. A voice stops them saying that the cards don't belong to them. A helicopter flies over the arena, and a device drops down from the sky containing an old man. Principal Shepard recognises him as the superintendent, Kagemaru. Kagemaru informs them that only one with enough dueling energy could unlock the Sacred Beasts, and that Jaden is that person. The only way to stop Kagemaru from ruling the world is to defeat him in a shadow game. He challenges Jaden to a duel, and if he refused, he would destroy Duel Academy.

The duel starts with Jaden, as he summons the Elemental Hero Burstinatrix in defense mode and sets one face down. Kagemaru starts his turn by saying that he sets 3 trap cards. Everyone is puzzled why he says that he set traps, and not left it a mystery. He then sacrifices all 3 trap cards to summon Uria, Lord of Searing Flames. He then activates Uria's special ability, and destroys one trap card on Jaden's field. Since Uria's attack is the number of trap cards in Kagemaru's graveyard multiplied by 1000, he destroys Burstinatrix with 3000 ATK. Jaden summons out Bubbleman, allowing him to draw 2 cards. He then activates Polymerization, fusing the Elemental Heroes Sparkman, Clayman, and Bubbleman to form the Elemental Hero Tempest, with 2800 ATK. Jaden activates the field spell Skyscraper, giving Tempest and extra 1000 attack points. He destroys Uria, and ends his turn with a face down.

Kagemaru activates Uria's second ability, deiscarding one trap card from his hand to ressurect Uria, now with 4000 ATK. He destroys Tempest, inflicting 1200 points of damage to Jaden. Tempest's ability activates, and he sacrifices a card on his field to keep Tempest on the field. Jaden plays Pot of Greed, allowing him to draw 2 cards. He then plays Heated Heart, giving Tempest an extra 500 attack points, with which he attacks and destroys Uria. Kagemaru again activates Uria's ability and discards a trap to revive Uria. Then, he activates Pot of Greed, giving him 2 cards. He then announces that he sets 3 spell cards. Jaden picks up quickly, much to Kagemaru's amusement. He sacrifices his 3 spell cards for Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder, who destroys Tempest, inflicting 1000 points of damage to Jaden from Hamon's special ability.

Kagemaru then reveals that the Sacred Beasts were locked away because they drew their energy from Duel Spirits, and if they weren't contained, that all other cards would be destroyed. The only reason Jaden's cards weren't affected was because Jaden's spirit has enough Dueling energy to tame the Sacred Beasts. Kagemaru then displays the Sacred Beasts' power by restoring his youth.

I hope this episode description is a bit more detailed then my previous one. Thank You, Ojamazon Man.
