Introduction ****************************************************************************** Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories is an excellent game. This is a great game made after the card game in the anime and manga series of the same name. It has great replay value as you try and collect all the cards. One of the cool features about both the card game itself and the video game are the card codes. The card codes are used to unlock the cards in the game if you own the original card. On the original card there is an 8 digit number located in the lower left corner. You enter that into the password mode in the video game and you get that card. ****************************************************************************** III. Gameplay Basics ****************************************************************************** ======================= Section A. Introduction ======================= Player's Objectives ------------------- Fight your way through each of the stages in the Campaign mode, defeat the final boss and finally face off against the four Rulers of The Heavens, the keepers of the fabled Millennium Items. Creature your own original cards, complete with your friends to collect their cards, and battle to become a better Duelist. Basic Rules ----------- Each duelist starts out with 8000 Life Points (LP). A duel is conducted on a turn-by-turn basis, and turns alternate between the two players. A duelist may only play one monster card per turn. There are no limit to the number of magic or trap cards that can be played. During a turn, it is no necessary to play a card or execute any action with the cards played on the field. A duelist can chose to end a turn without doing anything. At the start of each turn, duelists can draw one card to replenish their hand. If there are five cards in a duelist's hand, no card is drawn. When played, a monster card is placed facedown, and is turned face up when it executes a command. However, if the command is to "Defend", the card remains facedown. Further, a facedown card will be turned face up when it is attacked. Once a card is turned face up, it remains that way until the duel is resolved. Build/Edit Decks ---------------- You won't ever be able to lift the number of cards you have in your deck. It's always 40. You cannot go over 40 cards. So to edit your deck, you must remove card(s) from your deck first, by selecting "RETURN TO CHEST" in your Deck screen. Then go into your Chest screen, select the card(s) you want to add to your deck and select "ADD TO DECK". If you cannot add a card to your deck, it's most likely because you're over your 40 card limit. Another reason you cannot may be because your Duelist Level doesn't mean the requirements of a certain card. Monster Cards ------------- **Sacrificing** In order to summon a level 5-6 card, you need to sacrifice 1 monster. In order to summon a level 7-8 card, you need to sacrifice 2 monsters. To sacrifice a monster, click "A" when hovering over a monster you wish to sacrifice. Then go to "OFFR" and press A again. The card will be sent to your graveyard. **Effect Monsters** Some monsters have special effects. To find out what they are, go into the details screen when you're looking at your deck. To activate an effect, click the "A" button and go to "SPCL". **Fusion** Fusion means to take two creatures and put them together to make a stronger creature. To use Fusion, play a card on top of another card that's already in play. If the two cards in question are able to fuse, you will see a new monster in the place of the first monster. If the two cards are not fusible, the first card will be replaced with the second card. Note: A monster formed by fusion cannot attack or be re-positioned in the same turn. However, fusion is not considered to be a Summon move. Hence, another monster can be brought into play if the fusion is successful. ===================== Section B. Game Modes ===================== CAMPAIGN Mode ------------- In order to get to Stage 2, you must beat everyone in Stage 1 five times. Same with Stage 3. Stage 1 [Domino Town 1] -Yugi -Tristan -Joey -Mai -Mako Stage 2 [Domino Town 2] -Rex -Weevil -Kaiba -Esp Roba -Seeker -Pandora Stage 3 [Ancient Egypt] -Paradox -Pegasus -Slysheen -Ishizu Final Stage [Heavens] -DarkNite -Yami Yugi *Millennium Puzzle & Millennium Tauk (later)* -Yami Bakura *Millennium Ring & Millennium Eye (later)* -Nitemare -Shadi *Millennium Ankh & Millennium Scale* -Marik *Millennium Rod* CONSTRUCTION Mode ----------------- This mode allows you to create your own monster cards. First, select the type of the card-part to be used. Use START to switch between the "upper body 1" & "lower body 1" and the "upper body 2" / "lower body 2". Second, with the control pad, use Up/Down to change the upper body parts, and Left/Right to change the lower body parts. Switching card=parts changes the graphics and capabilities of a card. Third, once you have the desired combination for a card, press the A button to enter the card. The constructed card will be moved into your Chest. VERSUS Mode ----------- Go head to head with another duelist. One useful thing about this is that you get twenty points added to your Deck Capacity if you win a duel. TRADE Mode ---------- The Chest must contain cards that can be used in a duel. In short, you cannot trade unless you have over 50 cards that are lower in Deck Cost value than your current Duelist Level. First get into the Trade mode and link up. Then, select a card to be traded from the Chest. After selecting a card and pressing the A button, the cursor will shift to the Command area where "To Exchange" can be selected and entered. Selecting "Details" will provide information regarding a selected card. A maximum of five cards can be selected. RECORD Mode ----------- The Record screen will display your Duelist Level, Deck Volume, etc. Press Left/Right no the control pad to look at your performance in the Campaign mode. It allows you to verify information such as your Duel Name, Duelist Level and Deck Capacity. Also, you can switch between screens with Left/Right on the Control Pad to verify your Campaign performance. PASSWORD Mode ------------- On every Duel Monsters card there is an eight-digit password on the lower left corner directly below the card's picture. Enter this code in the "PASSWORD" option on the main screen, and the card will be recorded into your card collection. ========================== Section C. Tips and Tricks ========================== Card Codes/Password Mode ------------------------ On every Duel Monsters card there is an eight-digit password on the lower left corner directly below the card's picture. Enter this code in the "PASSWORD" option on the main screen, and the card will be recorded into your card collection. Enter "65437205" as a card password, and every time you win a battle, you'll get an extra card from Yugi's grandpa! DON'T WORRY! YOU DON'T... ------------------------- ...lose cards from losing a battle ...lose Deck Capacity points ...have to save! The game does is automatically. Duelist Level ------------- This figure rates a player's level as a duelist. You can only use cards whose Deck Cost amount is lower than your Duelist Level. This stat grows higher as you battle. Deck Capacity ------------- This stat rates a player's capability for building a deck. If the total Deck Cost of the 40 cards assembled in a deck exceeds the Deck Capacity, you cannot engage in a duel. Deck Capacity increases in the following manner: - Campaign Mode: five points for each duel weather you win or lose - Versus Mode: twenty points increase - Trade: two points each time you trade a card Field Effect Charts ------------------- O = Favorable Ø = Unfavorable **Chart 1** \----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ |Class - Dragon - Magician - Zombie - Warrior -BeastWar - Beast -WngBeast | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Forest | | | | | O | O | | |Wasteland | | | | | | | | |Mountains | O | | | | | | O | |Meadow | | | | O | O | | | |Umi | | | | | | | | |Yami | | O | | | | | | /----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ **Chart 2** \----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ |Class - Fiend - Fairy - Insect - Dinosaur- Reptile - Fish -SeaDragon| |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Forest | | | O | | | | | |Wasteland | | | | O | | | | |Mountains | | | | | | | | |Meadow | | | | | | | | |Umi | | | | | | O | O | |Yami | O | Ø | | | | | | /----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ **Chart 3** \------------------------------------------------------------------/ |Class -Machine - Thunder - Aqua - Pyro - Rock - Plant | |------------------------------------------------------------------| |Forest | | | | O | | | |Wasteland | | | | | O | | |Mountains | | O | | | | | |Meadow | | | | | | | |Umi | Ø | O | O | Ø | | | |Yami | | | | | | | /------------------------------------------------------------------\ ****************************************************************************** IV. CAMPAIGN Walkthrough ****************************************************************************** This mode allows you to duel with characters like JOEY and KAIBA. You are rewarded with one card and one card part when you win a dual. However, you will not lose a card when you are defeated in a duel. There are a number of locations on the map where duels are fought. You move on to another map by defeating each duelist on a map five times or more. Domino Town 1 ============= (clockwise starting with YUGI) YUGI / TRISTAN / JOEY / MAI / MAKO These guys are fairly easy. You shouldn't even break a sweat against them. You probably could keep your deck the way it is at the beginning of the game, but you may want to enter a couple card codes if you must, just to boost your deck a lil' more. But you don't need to really. The order you should duel the duelists in doesn't matter, but the easiest way is to follow the order of duelists as stated above. |||||||| |||||||| \/\/\/\/ Domino Town 2 ============= (clockwise starting with Esp Roba) Esp Roba / REX / WEEVIL / KAIBA / Pandora / Seeker This is where the strategy comes in to play. Right now you can't really overpower them, so you should stick with recreating a new deck for every duelist almost you battle according to the main type they use; Oh yeah I forgot, before I begin you should duel the duelists in this order, seeing as it's the easiest - REX, WEEVIL, Esp Roba, Seeker, Pandora, KAIBA. Ok now I'll begin. REX (Uses Earth) - Have lots of Wind cards in your deck. Earth has a weakness to Wind, and no matter the stats Wind always gets an instant defeat when attacking an Earth card. Have a couple of Pyro cards handy to so you can get rid of any Forest cards he brings out to get instant defeats against your Wind cards, so take advantage of that with the Pyros - which in turn get instant defeats against Forest cards. WEEVIL (Uses Forest) - Have lots of Pyro cards in your deck. Forest has a weakness to Pyro, and no matter the stats Pyro always gets an instant defeat when attacking an Forest card. Have a couple of Thunder cards handy to so you can get rid of any Aqua cards he brings out to get instant defeats against your Pyro cards, so take advantage of that with the Thunders - which in turn get instant defeats against Aqua cards. Esp Roba (Uses Fiend) - Have lots of Light cards in your deck. Fiend has a weakness to Light, and no matter the stats Light always gets an instant defeat when attacking an Forest card. Have a couple of Dreams cards handy to so you can get rid of any Shadow cards he brings out to get instant defeats against your Light cards, so take advantage of that with the Dreams - which in turn get instant defeats against Shadow cards. Seeker - (Uses Earth) - This is so ridiculously easy it's pathetic, you should just use the Light card deck that used against Esp Roba, as long as there is some 4 Stars with brute strength (ie. in the thousands). Although he occasionally uses Shadow cards, which instantlly defeat Light cards - you'll be fine as long as you pack some 4 stars with brute strength that aren't of the Light class... you can find many that are of Earth class (ie. the many Dinosaurs in the game). Seeker is probably the easiest of the six in Tomino Town 2. Pandora - (Uses Shadow) Once again use your Light card deck, but this time you need to make some modifications on which cards you have in it. Make sure to have lots of Dream cards in it because Shadow cards can instantly defeat Light cards in a flash. After you get a hang of it, you'll realize that Pandora isn't that hard after all. KAIBA - (Uses various types, mostly Light) No modifications to your Light deck or any new decks should be made. Using your Light & Dream deck you can take Kaiba pretty well. You might have to restart a couple of duels, because your bound to lose at least once against this guy, so don't get discouraged. To see the deck I had by the time I finished Tomino Town 2, refer to the Deck Constructions section of this FAQ/Walkthrough. |||||||| |||||||| \/\/\/\/ Ancient Egypt ============= (clockwise starting with Paradox) Paradox / P.Seto / Ishizu / Slysheen Once again, the duelists that have unlocked are harder then the ones defeated previously. To start out you should duel Ishizu first, seeing as she is the easiest out of the bunch. Ishizu - (Uses Fiend, Shadow, Light, and DEVINE!) At first glance, this might seem like a hard battle, but in reality it isn't at all. You should once again use your Light & Dream deck. This duel requires a whole lot of strategizing so be prepared, she has many fusions to use and uses Sword of the Revealing Light often, which stops you from attacking for three WHOLE turns! Add to the fact she uses Dark Holes sometimes, you shouldn't overlook anything. If she combines to form a Cosmo Queen, you might as well quit the duel now, because it has 2900 ATK and is Devine (therefore has no weaknesses), so it's hard to overcome - unless you had placed a Remove Trap in your previous turn, or you are able to pull out a Blue Eyes White Dragon. Refer to above for a well rounded deck to use against her. Slysheen - (Uses Fiend) This guy is pretty easy compared to Ishizu. For the like 5th time, use the same deck as i told u before, because Slysheen seems to barely ever pull a card of a different type aside from Fiend. He does have a Sword of the Revealing Light, but rarely ever gets a chance to use it. Simple battle. Ok, so now your stuck with two duelists left to defeat in Ancient Egypt. Both of them are really good duelists, but let's start off dueling Paradox first. Paradox - (Uses Light, but mainly Magic/Trap) This guy is crazy. His deck consists of nearly all Magic and Trap cards or so it seems, and all of his monster cards are Light mostly. You can still beat this guy fair and square if you want with that Light & Dream deck you've been using if you want to take forever...A good trick is to duel him, and if he doesn't have a bad hand from the beginning (meaning one with no monster cards) restart your GameBoy Color/ Advance until he does. Because if he ever starts with a bad hand full of Magic and Trap cards only, he's toast. Anyhow, speaking of him using a lot of Magic and Trap cards, he does. He uses from Swords of the Revealing Light to Dian Kiot the Cure (healing 5000 LP!), to Spellbinding Circle, Crush Card, and Bright Castle. OUCH! Paradox is also one of the first duelists you face that use more than then three of a card in his deck as the next duelists begin to do as well. Ever feel the wrath of three Spellbinding Circles? It hurts. P.Seto - (Uses Earth, Light, Shadow, and Fiend) Ok, you COULD use the same deck you have been using, but it's extremely hard to beat P.Seto with it. I was only lucky enough to defeat him twice...and I had retried many times by then also. So I made another deck based on Dragons & Shadow cards. With that I defeated him three more times in a matter of minutes. Look out for Dark Hole, Raigeki, and Change of Heart. He also has Blue Eyes White Dragon. Because of he uses such cards, make sure to make your moves count...and remember to think before acting. But then again, like all of the final duelists, it seems that P. Seto a lot times ends up without having monster cards in his hand because of the fact that he has overloaded his deck with many magic and trap cards. This makes ample time for you to lessen his LP faster and faster. ------------BEGIN------------- Checks and Balances =================== The following deck I used to complete Domino Town 2 and Ancient Egypt (well not all 5 times for P.Seto). It is pretty good for an early deck. The following requirements are needed for this deck, mind you... Duelist Level: 35 (cuz #1 BEWD) Deck Capacity: 725 *Monster Cards* #1 Blue Eyes White Dragon - (Light) #24 Skull Servant - (Fiend) #33 Judge Man - (Light) #44 Rogue Doll - (Light) #80 Uraby - (Earth) #90 Gyakutenno Megami - (Light) #125 Faith Bird - (Light) #127 Ansatsu - (Shadow) #143 Chronolord - (Dreams) #192 Key Mace - (Light) #359 Seiyaryu - (Light) #366 Labyrinth Wall - (Earth) #427 Kaiser Dragon- (Light) #428 Magician of Faith - (Light) #493 Maha Vailo - (Light) #513 Guardian of the Throne - (Light) #532 Gemini Elf- (Light) #551 Dark Elf - (Shadow) #631 Maiden of the Moon - (Dreams) #642 Mystical Sheep #1 - (Dreams) #732 Jigen Bakuden - (Dreams) x2 #733 Thousand-eyes Idol - (Dreams) #747 Gazelle the King of Dreams - (Dreams) #758 Big Shield Gardna - (Earth) #795 Dunames Dark Witch - (Light) #800 Talons of Shurilan - (Dreams) *Construction Cards* 6/25 CentipedeHookworm - (Dreams) 24/15 IcicleVern - (Dreams) 26/6 Bell BillMantis - (Dreams) *Magic Cards* #338 Mooyan Curry #339 Red Medicine #343 Sparks #350 Dark-piercing Light x2 #658 Metalmorph #790 The Inexperienced Duelist *Trap Cards* #685 Acid Trap Hole #688 Simochi Allergy #689 Reverse Trap ------------END------------- |||||||| |||||||| \/\/\/\/ DarkNite ======== DarkNite (Uses Earth, Light, and Forest)- Ok, use the Dragon & Shadow deck once again and you'll have an actually easier time against DarkNite then P. Seto. I only had to retry once. Look out for Swords of the Revealing Light, which he uses, sometimes even twice consecutively. Like P. Seto, DarkNite ends up many times running out of monster cards in his hand because of the fact that he has also overloaded his deck with many magic and trap cards. Aslo making ample time for you to lessen DarkNite's LP faster and faster as done with P.Seto previously. |||||||| |||||||| \/\/\/\/ Special Duels =============== Note: Refer to the Special Codes Listing in this FAQ/Walkthrough for the passwords to use to unlock these special duels. Remember you must have beaten the game first before you may become able to duel the following duelists. It starts out as Yami Yugi. You use passwords to change the level to a duelist that you wish for. Use the code for Yami Yugi to change the selection screen back to Yami Yugi. Yami Yugi - (Uses Fiend and Shadow mostly) This guy is hilarious. Not only does he brag about his 'wonderful' Dark Magician deck...he's really not that much of a challenge either. In fact, during the course of the five times I dueled him, he never got to use that Dark Magician he loves so much either. Use the same deck you made previously. Another person with the 'Magic / Trap Overload Syndrome', which leaves him vulnerable to attack often. I'd say he is as easy as the first three duelists you faced in Ancient Egypt... meaning easy. Yami Bakura - (Uses Shadow, Forest, Pyro, Fiend, Aqua- Nearly everything ) Probably the hardest duelist to overcome in the game, no joke either...I kept with that Dragon & Shadow deck I created when against P. Seto, but made a few modifications including adding a Meteor Black Dragon in place of another card and adding a few Aqua and Thunder 4 star monster cards in place of others. The Thunder monsters were to deal with that pesky Aqua Dragon he always seemed to bring out, after sacrifing my card after using Change of Heart (D'oh!)...You can't really keep on reseting on this guy, because he never seems to not have monster cards in his hand. But when he does, he always uses Swords of Revealing Light until he gets a good monster card in play...which is kind of in your advantage with that wonderful Crush Card you better have in your deck! (Have at least two! Very helpful). He also uses Labyrinth Wall very often to distract you, while waiting to get another Aqua Dragon or Meteor Black Dragon out...Which you use a Crush Card or Thunder or Aqua card to take care of.... Get the picture? Once you have defeated Yami Bakura, it's pretty easy on out from there. Nitemare - (Uses...well, barely anything, but when he does Fiend and DEVINE!) This duel is laughable. ROTFLMAO laughable. This is what happens nearly 99% (not statistically proven, just assumption) of the time with Nitemare; For the first turn, he uses Brain Control his first or second turn - never having a monster out either. Which doesn't make sense seeing as you'll get the card back next turn plus you'll have another card out leading you to be able to attack him, as he has NO MONSTER CARDS OUT. ::Cusses for few minutes:: IT MAKES NO SENSE ON HOW STUPID THIS GUY IS! He even uses Shadow Spell for his first turn, when he has gone first, and when YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE CARDS OUT ON THE FIELD! ::sighs:: The only cards you should be aware of is his Raigeki and .....Gate Guardian. He uses Raigeki often when you have 2+ monsters out just for fun it seems. If he ever gets 2 of his own cards out or gets one of his plus one of yours from Brain Control, he sacrifices them to pull out a Gate Guardian. This is the crucial time in this duel, because if he pulls out the guardian, you can die really quickly. Use a Crush Card, Acid Trap Hole, or Trap Master to get rid of the Gate Guardian, seeing as he has no weaknesses. That or you could powerup any Dragon cards (easiest to powerup in my opinion) with Dragon Treasure and/or Mountain cards. Nitemare may seem hard with this Gate Guardian of his, but he rarely pulls it out and otherwise, this is an easy duel. Refer to below for that Dragons & Shadow (well at least it used to be that) deck I was talking about. -----------BEGIN------------- Unleash the Dragon (ALPHA) ================== The following deck I used to defeat P.Seto (well not all 5 times for P.Seto), DarkNite, Yami Yugi, Yami Bakura, Nitemare and the rest of the hidden duelists. It is pretty good for an early deck. I did make a few modifications for some battles, so this is what was leftover. The following requirements are needed for this deck, mind you... Duelist Level: 37 (cuz #217 BSD) Deck Capacity: 937 *Monster Cards* #4 Baby Dragon - (Earth) #7 Winged Dragon #1 - (Wind) #10 Blackland Fire Dragon - (Shadow) #16 Time Wizard - (Dreams) #28 Mystical Elf - (Light) #31 Koumori Dragon - (Fiend) #40 Dragon Piper - (Pyro) #77 Grappler - (Aqua) #80 Uraby - (Earth) #81 Crawling Dragon #2 - (Fiend) #97 Dragon Zombie - (Fiend) #120 Dream Clown - (Dreams) #129 Nemuriko - (Shadow) #168 Darkfire Dragon - (Pyro) #200 Petit Dragon - (Wind) #217 Black Skull Dragon - (Fiend) #296 One-eyed Shield Dragon #298 Wicked Dragon with Teeth - (Fiend) #367 Jirai Gumo - (Forest) #379 La Jinn the Mystic - (Shadow) #387 Mystic Lamp - (Shadow) #432 Waterdragon fairy -(Aqua) #459 Tripwire Beast - (Thunder) #493 Maha Vailo - (Light) #502 Dragon Human - (Earth) #532 Gemini Elf - (Light) #551 Dark Elf - (Shadow) #631 Maiden of the Moon - (Dreams) #649 Hibikime - (Shadow) #713 Meteor Black Dragon - (Pyro) #747 Gazelle the King of Dreams - (Dreams) #758 Big Shield Gardna - (Earth) #795 Dunames Dark Witch - (Light) #799 Cyber-tech Alligator - (Wind) *Construction Cards* None *Magic Cards* #332 Mountain #350 Dark-piercing Light #661 Crush Card x2 *Trap Cards* #685 Acid Trap Hole #689 Reverse Trap ------------END------------- Shadi - (Uses Aqua, Light and Fiend with some Earth and Devine) By now these opponents are getting way easier since you last faced Yami Bakura. WAY too easy. Heck, the only hard part I had with this guy is when he started using his magic and trap cards. So that's how the battle goes; sometimes going from an easy time destroying her 4-stars to all of a suddenly facing her crazy 6, 7, or 8 stars because of MAGIC. AHH HAH! That's the key! Destroy her before she begins to use a whole lot of Magic cards and you'll have a relatively easy ride. Marik - (Mostly Fiend with a sprinkling of Shadow and Devine cards) Build a nice Light deck and you'll defeat Marik in a matter of minutes. One thing to take notice is that he has some Dark Elfs, which messes up the whole Light deck, as well as having a few Devine cards in his desposal. This can cause some problems as well. Ending ====== Pictures of the three God cards: - - - Along with the words "TO BE CONTINUED...." ****************************************************************************** V. Card Codes ****************************************************************************** To enter the card code all you have to do is select the menu in the lower right corner of your games screen. OR from the top menu just press down 2 times. Yugi will say something about the 8 digit code. The following screen will let you enter the code by pressing up or down to select the number and left and right to move to the next number. Once the code is entered press A and select Yes. If it's correct you will see the card, it's description and all that good stuff about it. These are just a very small ammount from all sets of the actual card game. And you can only use each card code to get one single copy of that card. Entering it again will just result in a message stating that you already have entered that code previously. I hope these help you kick the games butt real good by unlocking ultra rare and ultra powerful cards...and even some of those wimpy ones if you need a few extra. Re-amping the Deck Construction section and having the best deck for each of the following classes: Requires Requires Class # - Duelist Level - Deck Capacity ------------------------------------------- 1. ??? 1000 2. ??? 2000 3. 255 3000 4. 255 4000 5. 255 5000 6. 255 6000 7. 255 7000 8. 255 8000 9. 255 9000 The only decks that will be accepted are ones that fit the above categories and abide by the following rules: SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Due to the large number of decks that have been submitted, I have decided to make a number of guidelines for submitting decks. This is to ease my sanity on the issue. 1. First and foremost you must have the subject line of "Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck Submission" and include the name of the deck, the Duelist Level required, and the Deck Capacity class category it fits into (see above). 2. The names of the cards in your deck must be listed with the same names as the ones in the Card Index. Therefore no Japanese card names are accepted. 3. Your deck must follow the DDS restrictions. 4.You must do a writeup on the deck. Don't just send decks with nothing. 5.If you don't follow the rules, your submission will be ignored. Sorry, but many of you are just throwing cards together to make a deck. 6. You must conform your deck to one of the categories listed above, and nothing else. So e-mail your deck to m0gster@aol.com (it's a ZERO not an O). ****************************************************************************** IX. Computer Opponent Deck List ****************************************************************************** FYI --- Type is placed first, element second. Types affect the equippables that the monster can use as well as the field bonuses and penalties they are affected by. Elements are the two rings of power which dictate instant kills. i.e. Shadow destroys Light destroys Fiend destroys Illusion destroys Shadow Aqua destroys Pyro destroys Forest destroys Wind destroys Earth destroys Thunder destroys Aqua The Devine element is outside of both of these strength/weakness rings. With regard to both Weevil and Rex claiming that their decks are stronger, those quotations are just their standard between-duel banter. They still use the same decks. ======================================== Your First Deck! - Capacity 354 Level 13 ======================================== #9 x3 - Shadow Specter - Zombie, Fiend 500 / 200 1* #122 x1 - Yamatano Dragon Scroll - Dragon, Wind 900 / 300 2* #137 x3 - Mystery Hand - Fiend, Fiend 500 / 500 2* #182 x1 - Masked Clown - Warrior, Shadow 500 / 700 2* #197 x1 - Mech Mole Zombie - Zombie, Fiend 500 / 400 2* #202 x1 - Air Marmot of Nefa - Beast, Fiend 400 / 600 2* #207 x1 - Droll - WngBeast, Wind 600 / 500 2* #211 x1 - Kaminarikozou - Thunder, Thunder 700 / 600 2* #393 x1 - Zone Eater - Aqua, Aqua 250 / 200 1* #397 x2 - Leghul - Insect, Forest 300 / 350 1* SPCL: Attacks enemy LP #399 x1 - Swordsman from a Far - Warrior, Earth 250 / 250 1* #402 x1 - Monster Eye - Fiend, Fiend 250 / 350 1* SPCL: See opponent's cards in hand #410 x1 - Mechanical Spider - Machine, Forest 400 / 500 2* #420 x1 - Cyber-Stein - Machine, Fiend 700 / 500 2* #422 x1 - Jinzo #7 - Machine, Fiend 500 / 400 2* #436 x1 - White Dolphin - Fish, Aqua 500 / 400 2* #444 x2 - Turu-Purun - Aqua, Aqua 450 / 500 2* #475 x3 - Sinister Serpent - Reptile, Aqua 300 / 250 1* #486 x1 - Boo Koo - Magician, Light 650 / 500 2* #506 x1 - Gale Dogra - Insect, Forest 650 / 600 2* #516 x1 - Muka Muka - Rock, Earth 600 / 300 2* #524 x1 - Star Boy - Aqua, Aqua 550 / 500 2* #527 x1 - Milus Radiant - Beast, Forest 300 / 250 1* #548 x1 - Bone Mouse - Zombie, Fiend 400 / 300 1* #549 x1 - Griggle - Aqua, Aqua 700 / 500 2* #563 x2 - Wretched Ghost of Darkness - Fiend, Shadow 550 / 400 2* #579 x1 - Abyss Flower - Plant, Forest 750 / 400 2* #609 x1 - Bladefly - Insect, Forest 600 / 700 2* #611 x2 - Hiro's Shadow Scout - Fiend, Fiend 650 / 500 2* Comments: -------- What can I say... this is the first deck that you get. It's actually a pretty flexible deck. Everything in this deck is a one or two star monster. So you will never have to not play anything. It also has exceptional potential for a person who uses free-fusions. For that, you can thank the #399 Swordsman from a Far, #182 Masked Clown and #122 Yamatano Dragon Scroll as they can fuse with just about the whole rest of the deck. ================================ Tristan - Capacity 912 Level 255 ================================ #24 x3 - Skull Servant - Zombie, Fiend 300 / 200 1* #393 x3 - Zone Eater - Aqua, Aqua 250 / 200 1* #394 x3 - Steel Scorpion - Machine, Forest 250 / 300 1* #397 x2 - Leghul - Insect, Forest 300 / 350 1* SPCL: Attacks enemy LP #398 x3 - Ooguchi - Aqua, Aqua 300 / 250 1* #399 x3 - Swordsman from a Far - Warrior, Earth 250 / 250 1* #402 x3 - Monster Eye - Fiend, Fiend 250 / 350 1* SPCL: See opponent's cards in hand #469 x2 - Armed Ninja - Warrior, Aqua 300 / 300 1* #475 x3 - Sinister Serpent - Reptile, Aqua 300 / 250 1* #499 x3 - Kattapillar - Insect, Forest 250 / 300 1* #730 x3 - Dark-eyes Illusionist - Magician, Dreams 0 / 0 1* #731 x3 - Relinquished - Magician, Thunder 0 / 0 1* SPCL: Takes control of the enemy's strongest in-play monster #733 x3 -Thousand-eyes Idol - Magician, Dreams 0 / 0 1* #768 x3 - The Unhappy Maiden - Magician, Light 0 / 100 1* Comments: --------- A standard beginner's deck. Its high level is due to #731 Relinquished, which thankfully Tristan doesn't use correctly. High attack cards are enough to sweep him away since he has no reigning element and no magic cards. ============================= Yugi - Capacity 615 Level 150 ============================= #35 - Dark Magician - Magician, Shadow 2500 / 2100 7* #38 - Gaia the Fierce Knight - Warrior, Shadow 2300 / 2100 7* #58 x3 - Kuriboh - Fiend, Shadow 300 / 200 1* #123 x3 - Dark Plant - Plant, Fiend 300 / 400 1* #192 x3 - Key Mace - Fairy, Light 400 / 300 1* #289 x3 - Change Slime - Aqua, Aqua 400 / 300 1* #336 x2 - Dark Hole - Magic - Destroys all monsters in play #338 x2 - Mooyan Curry - Magic - Restores 200 Life Points #387 x3 - Mystic Lamp - Magician, Shadow 400 / 300 1* SPCL: Attacks enemy LP #428 x3 - Magician of Faith - Magician, Light 300 / 400 1* #504 x3 - Fungi of the Musk - Fiend, Forest 400 / 300 1* #548 x3 - Bone Mouse - Zombie, Fiend 400 / 300 1* #558 x3 - Pot the Trick - Rock, Fiend 400 / 400 2* #635 x3 - Queen's Double - Warrior, Earth 350 / 300 1* #644 x3 - Flame Viper - Pyro, Pyro 400 / 450 2* #760 - Dark Magician Girl - Magician, Shadow 2000 / 1700 6* SPCL: Powers up self per #35 Dark Magician in Hand If one in hand, +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) If two or more in hand, +1000 ATK +1000 DEF (two levels) Comments: --------- I have been annihilated by this Yugi... I wasn't quick enough in annihilating his cards, so he was able to sacrifice for #760 Dark Magician Girl. And I didn't have any Dream cards to sweep them away. If you're still alive after a bit, he'll eventually sacrifice for #35 Dark Magician. He's only used #38 Gaia the Fierce Knight if I took away his #35 Dark Magician. If all of your cards have ATK values of 500+, then he's easily swept away. Just have a bunch of different elements. But watch out for his two #336 Dark Hole. ============================== Mako - Capacity 1053 Level 255 ============================== #152 x3 - The Melting Red Shadow - Aqua, Fiend 500 / 700 2* #185 x3 - Eyearmor - Warrior, Earth 600 / 500 2* #237 x3 - Haniwa - Rock, Earth 500 / 500 2* #285 x3 - Serpent Marauder - Reptile, Aqua 700 / 600 2* #289 x3 - Change Slime - Aqua, Aqua 400 / 300 1* #328 x3 - Power of Kaishin - Magic (Equip) Powers up Water, Fish and SeaDragn types: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #334 x3 - Umi - Magic (Field) Powers up Fish, SeaDragn, Thunder, and Aqua types by 30% of their original statistics Powers down Machine and Pyro types by 30% of their original statistics #393 x3 - Zone Eater - Aqua, Aqua 250 / 200 1* #398 x3 - Ooguchi - Aqua, Aqua 300 / 250 1* #436 x3 - White Dolphin - Fish, Aqua 500 / 400 2* #444 x3 - Turu-Purun - Aqua, Aqua 450 / 500 2* #484 x3 - Ameba - Aqua, Aqua 300 / 350 1* #524 x3 - Star Boy - Aqua, Aqua 550 / 500 2* #718 - Fortress Whale - Fish, Devine 2350 / 2150 7* Comments: --------- He has a total of 10 non-aqua monsters. Of course, one of those is the Devine type #718 Fortress Whale. Thunder element is the way to go, just have some Wind cards to sweep away his Earths and maybe a few Light cards to take down the #152 The Melting Red Shadow so that he can't sacrifice them for #718. If he gets that out and it's early in your playing, you probably won't have cards to take it down. ============================ Mai - Capacity 769 Level 150 ============================ #62 x2 - Harpie Lady - Flying, Wind 1300 / 1400 4* SPCL: Powers up 386 Harpie's Pet Dragon in play +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #192 x3 - Key Mace - Fairy, Light 400 / 300 1* #316 x2 - Electro-whip - Magic (Equip) Powers up Women: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #317 - Cyber Shield - Magic (Equip) Powers up Women: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #318 - Elegant Egotist - Magic Changes #62 Harpie Lady into #63 Harpie Lady Sister #332 x3 - Yami - Magic (Field) Powers up Dragon, Flying, and Thunder type by 30% of their original statistics #386 - Harpie's Pet Dragon - Dragon, Wind 2000 / 2500 7* #395 x3 - Dancing Elf - Fairy, Forest 300 / 200 1* #428 x3 - Magician of Faith - Magician, Light 300 / 400 1* #488 x3 - Rainbow Flower - Plant, Forest 400 / 500 2* #547 x3 - Griggle - Plant, Forest 350 / 300 1* #527 x3 - Milus Radiant - Beast, Forest 300 / 250 1* #628 x3 - Witch's Apprentice - Magician, Shadow 550 / 500 2* SPCL: Powers up allied Shadow types in play +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) Powers down allied Light types in play -500 ATK -500 DEF (one level) #635 x3 - Queen's Double - Warrior, Earth 350 / 300 1* #672 x3 - Harpie's Feather D - Magic Destroys in-play enemy trap #768 x3 - The Unhappy Maiden - Magician, Light 0 / 100 1* Comments: --------- Mostly Wind types, a Forest deck can sweep her off her feet. Since the AI attacks any card that's hidden and in defense mode, I like to lay down a Forest card right off and let her attack it. Or if I know that #62 Harpie Lady or #386 Harpie's Pet Dragon are out, I do the same thing. It's great to watch. You'll want attack or defense of at least 600 on some cards though. She likes taking weaker cards out with #628 Witch's Apprentice. This is a fun deck to play as against Rex's Earth/Dinosaur deck. It has a lot of cool free-fusion possibilities too, which Mai's AI doesn't exploit. ============================= Joey - Capacity 495 Level 150 ============================= #16 x3 - Time Wizard - Magician, Dreams 500 / 400 2* SPCL: Changes #4 Baby Dragon into #69 Thousand Dragon #29 - Mountain Warrior - BeastWar, Earth 600 / 1000 3* #82 - Red Eyes Black Dragon - Dragon, Fiend 2400 / 2000 7* #167 x3 - Ancient Jar - Rock, Earth 400 / 200 1* #202 x3 - Air Marmot of Nefa - Beast, Fiend 400 / 600 2* #237 x3 - Haniwa - Rock, Earth 500 / 500 2* #333 - Sogen - Magic (Field) Powers up Soldier and Animal Warrior types by 30% of their original statistics #336 x2 - Dark Hole - Magic Destroys all monsters in play #338 x3 - Mooyan Curry - Magic Restores 200 Life Points #343 x2 - Sparks - Magic Damages opponent 50 Life Points #469 x3 - Armed Ninja - Warrior, Aqua 300 / 300 1* #516 x3 - Muka Muka - Rock, Earth 600 / 300 2* #541 x3 - Hane-Hane - Beast, Wind 450 / 500 2* #558 x3 - Pot the Trick - Rock, Fiend 400 / 400 2* #635 x3 - Queen's Double - Warrior, Earth 350 / 300 1* #644 x3 - Flame Viper - Pyro, Pyro 400 / 450 2* #753 - Swordsman of Lands - Warrior, Light 500 / 1200 3* Comments: --------- I find it strange that he has #16 Time Wizard, but no #4 Baby Dragon. Oh well, don't underestimate his deck early in the game. Even though it's low capacity, yours is too at this point. If you let him, he will sacrifice for #82 Red Eyes Black Dragon. Much like his friends Tristan and Yugi, he's all over the map elementally. #29 Mountain Warrior and #753 Swordsman of Lands will probably be your worst enemies if you don't have their sweeper elements (Wind and Fiend, respectively). They will probably be how he summons #82 Red Eyes Black Dragon. ================================== Esp Roba - Capacity 1391 Level 150 ================================== #197 x3 - Mech Mole Zombie - Undead, Fiend 500 / 400 2* #292 x3 - Psychic Kappa - Aqua, Aqua 400 / 1000 2* #324 x3 - Invigoration - Magic (Equip) Powers up Thunder, Rock and Pyro types: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #325 x3 - Machine Conversion - Magic (Equip) Powers up Machine types: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #339 x3 - Red Medicine - Magic Restores 500 Life Points #344 x3 - Hinotama - Magic Damages opponent 100 Life Points #399 x3 - Swordsman from a Far - Warrior, Earth 250 / 250 1* #411 x3 - Bat - Machine, Fiend 300 / 350 1* #417 x3 - Blast Juggler - Machine, Pyro 800 / 900 3* #422 x3 - Jinzo #7 - Machine, Fiend 500 / 400 2* #537 x3 - Mega Thunderball - Thunder, Thunder 750 / 600 2* #610 x3 - Electric Lizard - Thunder, Thunder 850 / 800 3* SPCL: Paralyzes one enemy monster for one turn #752 - Jinzo - Machine, Thunder 2400 / 1500 6* #754 - Cyber Raider - Warrior, Thunder 1400 / 1000 4* #755 - The Fiend Megacyber - Warrior, Fiend 2200 / 1200 5* #756 - Reflect Bounder - Magician, Fiend 1700 / 1000 4* Comments: --------- Mostly Thunder and Fiend elementals, with single sets of Aqua, Pyro and Earth elements. Light elementals are good and so are Earth elementals against this deck. Just be able to take down those other element monsters. ============================= Rex - Capacity 1552 Level 150 ============================= #79 - Megazowler - Dinosaur, Earth 1800 / 2000 6* #11 - Sword Arm of Dragon - Dinosaur, Earth 1750 / 2030 6* #32 - Two-headed King Rex - Dinosaur, Earth 1600 / 1200 4* #80 - Uraby - Dinosaur, Earth 1500 / 800 4* #81 - Crawler Dragon #2 - Dinosaur, Fiend 1600 / 1200 4* #105 x3 - Tomozaurus - Dinosaur, Earth 500 / 400 2* #155 x3 - Larvas - Beast, Forest 800 / 1000 3* #188 x3 - Synchar - Beast, Forest 800 / 900 3* #218 x3 - Two-mouth Darkruler - Dinosaur, Fiend 900 / 700 3* #308 x3 - Beast Fangs - Magic (Equip) Powers up Beast type and other monsters with fangs: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #326 x3 - Raise Body Heat - Magic (Equip) Powers up Dinosaur type: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #331 x3 - Wasteland - Magic (Field) Powers up Undead, Dinosaur, and Rock types by 30% of their original statistics #482 - Pragtical - Dinosaur, Earth 1900 / 1500 5* #509 - Bracchio-Raidus - Dinosaur, Earth 2200 / 2000 6* #568 x3 - Anthrosaurus - Dinosaur, Earth 1000 / 850 3* #570 x3 - Trakadon - Dinosaur, Earth 1300 / 800 3* #573 - Little D - Dinosaur, Earth 1100 / 700 3* #590 x3 - Beaked Snake - Reptile, Aqua 800 / 900 3* Comments: --------- Much of his deck is Earth element... so use Wind element cards. Modifying Mai's deck would be good if you could get the cards. He also has a pair of Fiends, one set of Aquas and two sets of Forest. If you have a Wind deck, you will learn to hate his #188 Synchar and #155 Larvas if they come out. Otherwise, a quickly established Wind deck can sweep him very easily. ================================ Weevil - Capacity 1511 Level 150 ================================ #49 - Big Insect - Insect, Forest 1200 / 1500 4* #50 - Basic Insect - Insect, Forest 500 / 700 2* #52 - Hercules Beetle - Insect, Forest 1500 / 2000 5* #53 x3 - Killer Needle - Insect, Forest 1200 / 1000 4* #54 - Gokibore - Insect, Forest 1200 / 1400 4* #55 - Giant Flea - Insect, Forest 1500 / 1200 4* #56 - Larvae Moth - Insect, Forest 500 / 400 2* SPCL: If played, evolves into #72 Cocoon of Evolution #57 - Great Moth - Insect, Forest 2600 / 2500,8* SPCL: If played, evolves into #67 Perfectly Ultimate #67 - Perfectly Ultimate - Insect, Forest 3000 / 3000,8* #72 - Cocoon of Evolution - Insect, Forest 0 / 2000 3* SPCL: If played (preferably in defense mode), evolves into #57 Great Moth #141 - Spiked Snail - Insect, Fiend 700 / 1300 3* #221 - Kumootoko - Insect, Forest 700 / 1400 3* #305 x2 - Lazer Cannon Armor - Magic (Equip) Powers up Insect type: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #306 x2 - Insect Armor with Fire - Magic (Equip) Powers up Insect Type: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #330 x3 - Forest - Magic (Field) Powers up BeastWarr, Insect, Plant and Beast type by 30% of their original statistics #446 x3 - Aqua Snake - Aqua, Aqua 1050 / 900 3* #478 x3 - Insect Soldiers of Swarm - Insect, Wind 1000 / 800 3* #535 x3 - Kamakiriman - Insect, Forest 1150 / 1400 4* #576 x3 - Giant Scorpion of Tundra - Insect, Forest 1100 / 1000 3* #762 - Insect Queen - Insect, Forest 2200 / 2400 7* SPCL: Powers up self per insect types in play If alone, +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) If any other in play monsters are insect type, +1000 ATK +1000 DEF (two levels) #763 - Parasite Paracide - Insect, Forest 500 / 300 2* #764 - Skull-mark LadyBug - Insect, Fiend 500 / 1500 3* #766 x3 - Pinch Hopper - Insect, Forest 1000 / 1200 4* #774 - Drill Bug - Insect, Earth 1100 / 200 2* Comments: --------- He uses mostly Forest elements, but has a set of Wind cards, a set of Aqua cards, a pair of Fiends and an Earth card. He uses his #330 Forest field magic very well to beat down your deck. It will affect all of his monster cards except for the #446 Aqua Snake. Pyro cards are the way to go and maybe some way to kill the #446 Aqua Snake also. Also, beware of the fact that he can possibly have 4 #67 Perfectly Ultimate on the field. One from the card itself, one from the #57 Great Moth, one from the #72 Cocoon of Evolution (after two turns), and one from #56 Larvae Moth (after three turns). Set Pyro to his Forest and take him down relatively easily. Because of that little #67 Perfectly Ultimate fact (glitch?), this is a fun deck to take over to fight mai with. ================================ Seeker - Capacity 1930 Level 255 ================================ #17 - Right Leg of Forbidden - Magician, Shadow 200 / 300 1* #18 - Left Leg of Forbidden - Magician, Shadow 200 / 300 1* #19 - Right Arm of Forbidden - Magician, Shadow 200 / 300 1* #20 - Left Arm of Forbidden - Magician, Shadow 200 / 300 1* #21 - Exodia of Forbidden - Magician, Shadow 1000 / 1000 3* #40 x2 - Dragon Piper - Pyro, Pyro 200 / 1800 3* #105 x3 - Tomozaurus - Dinosaur, Earth 500 / 400 2* #159 x3 - Dig Beak - Beast, Forest 500 / 800 2* #202 x3 - Air Marmot of Nefa - Beast, Fiend 400 / 600 2* #292 x3 - Psychic Kappa - Aqua, Aqua 400 / 1000 2* #337 x3 - Raigeki - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play #345 x3 - Final Flame - Magic Damages opponent 200 Life Points #397 x3 - Leghul - Insect, Forest 300 / 350 1* SPCL: Attacks enemy LP #501 x3 - Man-eater Bug - Insect, Forest 450 / 600 2* #744 x2 - Hannibal Necromancer - Magician, Shadow 1400 / 1800 5* #746 - Three-headed Geedo - Fiend, Fiend 1200 / 1400 4* #748 x3 - Stone Statue of the Ancients - Rock, Earth 300 / 2000 4* #751 x3 - Gear Golem the Mover - Machine, Earth 800 / 2200 5* Comments: --------- He's lives up to his name as Seekerr. He has a full set of Exodia pieces. But more to the point, he has a set of three #337 Raigeki, which can and will annihilate your side many times. Bring some Dreams cards for the Exodia pieces, and some Wind cards for his high defense Earth cards. Without those, he still has a high defense Fiend card and Pyro card. ================================= Pandora - Capacity 1425 Level 150 ================================= #35 x3 - Dark Magician - Magician, Shadow 2500 / 2100 7* #115 x3 - Kamionwizard - Magician, Shadow 1300 / 1100 4* #166 x3 - Mysterious Puppete - Warrior, Earth 1000 / 1500 4* #194 x3 - Terra the Terrible - Fiend, Fiend 1200 / 1300 4* #220 x3 - Masked Sorcerer - Magician, Shadow 900 / 1400 4* #259 x3 - Ancient Sorcerer - Magician, Shadow 1000 / 1300 4* #281 x3 - Mystic Clown - Fiend, Shadow 1500 / 1000 4* #303 x3 - Dark Energy - Magic (Equip) Powers up Fiend and other dark types: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #335 x3 - Yami - Magic (Field) Powers up Magician and Fiend types by 30% of their original statistics Powers down Angel type by 30% of their original statistics #336 x1 - Dark Hole - Magic Destroys all monsters in play #574 x3 - Witch of the Black Eye - Magician, Shadow 1100 / 1200 4* #578 x3 - Leo Wizard - Magician, Shadow 1350 / 1200 5* #643 x3 - Disk Magician - Machine, Fiend 1350 / 1000 4* #759 x3 - Doll of Demise - Fiend, Forest 1600 / 1700 5* Comments: --------- Her deck is mostly Shadow element. Dreams cards will destroy the darkness. Just watch out for her Fiend element cards. Light cards will take out the six of those Fiends. Her only cards not of those elements are a set of Forest element #759 Doll of Demise and a set of Earth #166 Mysterious Puppete. Or you could just go for some Pyro, Aqua and Earth cards to get out of her predominant Elemental ring. =============================== Kaiba - Capacity 1365 Level 150 =============================== #1 x3 - Blue Eyes White Dragon - Dragon, Light 3000 / 2500 8* #3 x3 - Hitotsu-me Giant - BeastWar, Fiend 1200 / 1000 4* #5 x3 - Ryu-Kishin - Fiend, Wind 1000 / 500 3* #23 x3 - The Wicked Worm Below - Beast, Earth 1400 / 700 3* #26 x3 - Battle Ox - BeastWar, Forest 1700 / 1000 4* SPCL: Destroy all enemy Pyro elementals #33 x2 - Judge Man - Warrior, Light 2200 / 1500 6* #34 x3 - Saggi the Dark Clown - Magician, Light 600 / 1500 3* #77 x3 - Grappler - Reptile, Aqua 1300 / 1200 4* #90 - Gyakutenno Megami - Fairy, Light 1800 / 2000 6* SPCL: Powers up monsters with ATK 500 +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #91 x2 - Mystic Horseman - Beast, Forest 1300 / 1550 4* #92 - Rabid Horseman - BeastWar, Forest 2000 / 1700 6* #315 x3 - Dragon Treasure - Magic (Equip) Powers up Dragon types: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #344 x3 - Hinotama - Magic Damages opponent 100 Life Points #377 x2 - Ryu-Kishin Powered - Fiend, Fiend 1600 / 1200 4* #378 - Swordstalker - Warrior, Fiend 2000 / 1600 6* #379 x2 - La Djinn the Mystic - Fiend, Shadow 1800 / 1000 4* #735 - Steel Ogre Grotto #2 - Machine, Earth 1900 / 2200 6* #740 - Invitation to a Dark Dream - Magician, Dreams 1500 / 1800 5* SPCL: Puts all enemy monsters on field to sleep for next turn Comments: --------- Much of his deck is high power and low level. He has cards of all element, but you should still watch out for his set of three #1 Blue Eyes White Dragon - especially since he's carrying a whole set of #315 Dragon Treasure to power them up. The Forest element is the only element that he doesn't have a card to sweep. But I probably wouldn't endorse going for a whole deck constructed of Forest for him. ================================= Paradox - Capacity 3156 Level 255 ================================= #44 x3 - Rogue Doll - Magician, Light 1600 / 1000 4* #126 x3 - Orion the Battle King - Fairy, Light 1800 / 1500 5* #342 - Dian Keto the Cure Master - Magic Restores 5000 Life Points #349 x3 - Spellbinding Circle - Magic Powers down all opponent's monsters in play: -500 ATK -500 DEF (one level) #433 x3 - Ancient Elf - Magician, Light 1450 / 1200 4* #493 x3 - Maha Vailo - Magician, Light 1550 / 1400 4* #582 x3 - Dark Witch - Fairy, Light 1800 / 1700 5* #595 x3 - Fiend Reflection #1 - WngBeast, Dreams 1300 / 1400 4* #631 x3 - Maiden of the Moon - Magician, Dreams 1500 / 1300 4* #661 x3 - Crush Card - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play with attack greater than 1500 #668 x3 - Bright Castle - Magic Powers up Light monsters: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #704 x3 - Skull Guardian - Warrior, Devine 2050 / 2500 7* #781 x3 - Brain Control - Magic Turns the enemy's strongest monster into an ally for one turn If already have five monsters in play, then wasted #795 x3 - Dunames Dark Witch - Fairy, Light 1800 / 1050 4* Comments: --------- Mostly Light and some Dreams elements just scream mostly Shadow and some Fiend. Either that, or just get out of that element ring entirely. But that set of Devine element cards should strike fear in your heart if he can summon them. Oh yeah, so should all of the magic in his deck. 16 magic cards of which I will highlight 10: 3 to possess your monsters (most likely to sacrifice), 3 for just wholesale destruction of your, by now, very strong monsters, 3 to power down all your in-play monsters by one level and #342 Dian Keto the Cure Master which can restore 5000(!) life points. ================================ Ishizu - Capacity 3794 Level 255 ================================ #2 x2 - Mystical Elf - Magician, Light 800 / 2000 4* SPCL:Powers up 1 Blue Eyes White Dragon in play +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #63 x3 - Harpie Lady Sister - WngBeast, Wind 1950 / 2100 6* SPCL: Powers up #386 Harpie's Pet Dragon in play +1000 ATK +1000 DEF (two levels) #252 x2 - Nekogal - Beast, Forest 1100 / 900 3* #336 x3 - Dark Hole - Magic Destroys all monsters in play #349 x3 - Spellbinding Circle - Magic Powers down all opponent's monsters in play: -500 ATK -500 DEF (one level) #348 x3 - Swords of Revealing Light - Magic Shows all opponent's monsters in play and prevents them from attacking for three turns #352 x3 - Kanan the Swordmistress - Warrior, Earth 1400 / 1400 4* #531 x3 - Mystical Sand - Rock, Shadow 2100 / 1700 6* #532 x2 - Gemini Elf - Magician, Light 1900 / 900 4* #551 x2 - Dark Elf - Magician, Shadow 2000 / 800 4* #626 x3 - Amazon of the Seasons - Fish, Aqua 1300 / 1400 4* #631 x2 - Maiden of the Moon - Magician, Dreams 1500 / 1300 4* #657 x3 - Megamorph - Magic (Equip) Powers up any monster: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #701 x2 - Performance of Swords - Warrior, Devine 1950 / 1850 6* #708 x2 - Cosmo Queen - Magician, Devine 2900 / 2450 8* #795 x3 - Dunames Dark Witch - Fairy, Light 1800 / 1050 4* Comments: --------- This could be very well the definitive woman's deck. If only she would have used #316 Electro-whip or #317 Cyber Shield for her power up magic, then it would have been wholly woman-themed. But enough about that, say hello to the first (in-order according to the statistics) user of #348 Swords of Revealing Light. This baby will stop your monsters from attacking and shows what they are too. This gives more than enough time to whip out her two #708 Cosmo Queen cards. She has all of the elements except for Pyro covered also, so you probably won't get much time to use sweepers. ================================== Slysheen - Capacity 3143 Level 255 ================================== #120 x3 - Dream Clown - Warrior, Dreams 1200 / 900 3* #337 x2 - Raigeki - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play #348 x2 - Swords of Revealing Light - Magic Shows all opponent's monsters in play and prevents them from attacking for three turns #351 x3 - Yaranzo - Zombie, Fiend 1300 / 1500 4* #354 x3 - Stuffed Animal - Warrior, Fiend 1200 / 900 3* #359 x3 - Three-legged Zombie - Zombie, Fiend 1100 / 800 3* #381 x3 - Toon Alligator - Reptile, Aqua 800 / 1600 4* #385 - Bickuribox - Fiend, Fiend 2300 / 2000 7* #544 - Dharma Cannon - Machine, Fiend 900 / 500 2* #580 x3 - Patrol Robo - Machine, Fiend 1100 / 900 3* #657 x3 - Megamorph - Magic (Equip) Powers up any monster: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #715 - Psycho-Puppet - Fiend, Devine 2000 / 2350 7* #720 x2 - Mask of Shine and Darkness - Magician, Devine 2000 / 1800 6* #727 x3 - Manga Ryu-ran - Dragon, Fiend 2200 / 2600 7* #729 - Toon Summoned Skull - Fiend, Fiend 2500 / 1200 6* #746 x3 - Three-headed Geedo - Fiend, Fiend 1200 / 1400 4* #771 x3 - Man-Eating Treasure Chest - Fiend, Dreams 1600 / 1000 4* Comments: --------- Mostly Fiend, a few Dreams, a Aqua set, he also boasts three Divine element cards. Two of these Divine cards are 6 star cards so expect them very soon after he draws them if you leave any of his monsters on the field. Again, he has three #337 Raigeki and three #348 Swords of Revealing Light. Strong Light element cards could possibly do well. ================================ P.Seto - Capacity 3496 Level 255 ================================ #1 x3 - Blue Eyes White Dragon - Dragon, Light 3000 / 2500 8* #3 x2 - Hitotsu-me Giant - BeastWar, Fiend 1200 / 1000 4* #5 x1 - Ryu-Kishin - Fiend, Wind 1000 / 500 3* #23 x1 - The Wicked Worm Below - Beast, Earth 1400 / 700 3* #26 x3 - Battle Ox - BeastWar, Forest 1700 / 1000 4* SPCL: Destroy all enemy Pyro elementals #33 - Judge Man - Warrior, Light 2200 / 1500 6* #34 x1 - Saggi the Dark Clown - Magician, Light 600 / 1500 3* #77 x2 - Grappler - Reptile, Aqua 1300 / 1200 4* #90 - Gyakutenno Megami - Fairy, Light 1800 / 2000 6* SPCL: Powers up monsters with ATK 500 +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #91 x3 - Mystic Horseman - Beast, Forest 1300 / 1550 4* #92 - Rabid Horseman - BeastWar, Forest 2000 / 1700 6* #336 x3 - Dark Hole - Magic Destroys all monsters in play #337 x3 - Raigeki - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play #377 x3 - Ryu-Kishin Powered - Fiend, Fiend 1600 / 1200 4* #378 - Swordstalker - Warrior, Fiend 2000 / 1600 6* #379 x3 - La Djinn the Mystic - Fiend, Shadow 1800 / 1000 4* #657 x3 - Megamorph - Magic (Equip) Powers up any monster: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #735 - Steel Ogre Grotto #2 - Machine, Earth 1900 / 2200 6* #740 - Invitation to a Dark Dream - Magician, Dreams 1500 / 1800 5* SPCL: Puts all enemy monsters on field to sleep for next turn #784 x3 - Change of Heart - Magic Draws two additional cards If already have five cards in hand, then wasted Comments: --------- Anyone else notice that the Kaiba and P.Seto decks have exactly the same card numbers with regards to monsters? The only difference is in the quantities. P.Seto also adds in strong magic which should be old hat by now: sets of #337 Raigeki and #336 Dark Hole. But he adds in a set of #784 Change of Heart. This one will probably used to gain sacrifices or for taking away your own hard-fought 7- or 8-star cards. Again, Forest cards are the only one he can't instantly take down elementally. ================================== DarkNite - Capacity 4316 Level 255 ================================== #337 x3 - Raigeki - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play #348 x3 - Swords of Revealing Light - Magic Shows all opponent's monsters in play and prevents them from attacking for three turns #367 x3 - Jirai Gumo - Insect, Forest 2200 / 100 4* #368 x2 - Shadow Ghoul - Zombie, Fiend 1600 / 1300 5* #369 x3 - Wall Shadow - Warrior, Fiend 1600 / 3000 7* #375 x2 - Dungeon Worm - Insect, Earth 1800 / 1500 5* #376 x2 - Monster Tamer - Warrior, Forest 1800 / 1600 5* SPCL: Powers up 375 Dungeon Worm: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #454 x3 - Destroyer Golem - Rock,Earth 1500 / 1000 4* #513 x3 - Guardian of the Thunder - Machine, Light 1650 / 1600 4* #641 x3 - Invader of the Throne - Warrior, Earth 1350 / 1700 4* #657 x3 - Megamorph - Magic (Equip) Powers up any monster: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #669 x3 - Shadow Spell - Magic All in-play monsters powered down: -1000 ATK -1000 DEF (two levels) #756 x3 - Reflect Bounder - Magician, Fiend 1700 / 1000 4* #781 x1 - Brain Control - Magic Turns the enemy's strongest monster into an ally for one turn If already have five monsters in play, then wasted #784 x3 - Change of Heart - Magic Turns the enemy's strongest monster into an ally If already have five monsters in play, then wasted Comments: --------- Wow... another duelist with 16 magic cards, but this guy has a set of #669 Shadow Spell, which will power down all of your monsters two levels!! I believe (just from my observations) that his deck is the most diverse with regard to the kinds of cards that he uses. Like his "normal" incarnation, he is all over the board elementally, but he does keep #58 Kuriboh as well as the three overpowered cards from his original deck. Like all of these later duelists, he has a lot of magic that can quickly make you feel pain. And if he can get out four 2000+ ATK cards and his #89 Catapult Turtle, you could be killed in one hit. But I have no idea if, at this stage of the game, the computer duelists have started using specials. ===================================== Yami Bakura - Capacity 3710 Level 255 ===================================== #31 x3 - Koumori Dragon - Dragon, Fiend 1500 / 1200 4* #83 x3 - Castle of D. But it has 18 magic cards and only 9 no-sacrifice cards. Of course, if it can whip out #784 Change of Heart or #781 Brain Control, then you could easily get toasted. She has no #348 Swords of the Revealing Light, but she has a pair of #669 Shadow Spell and a trio of #784 Change of Heart. So you could possibly go from having an easy time taking down her non-sacrifice monsters to suddenly facing her stronger ones because of magic. =============================== Marik - Capacity 4581 Level 255 =============================== #82 x3 - Red Eyes Black Dragon - Dragon, Fiend 2400 / 2000 7* #337 x3 - Raigeki - Magic Destroys all opponent's monsters in play #348 x3 - Swords of Revealing Light - Magic Shows all opponent's monsters in play and prevents them from attacking for three turns #360 - Zera the Mant - Fiend, Devine 2800 / 2300 8* #365 x2 - Fiend's Mirror - Fiend, Devine 2100 / 1800 6* #367 x3 - Jirai Gumo - Insect, Forest 2200 / 100 4* #392 - Metalzoa - Machine, Fiend 3000 / 2300 8* #415 x3 - Mechanicalchacer - Machine, Fiend 1850 / 800 4* #471 x2 - Soul Hunter - Fiend, Fiend 2200 / 1800 6* #523 x3 - The Bistro Butcher - Fiend, Fiend 1800 / 1000 4* #551 x3 - Dark Elf - Magician, Shadow 2000 / 800 4* #650 x3 - Whiptail Crow - Fiend, Fiend 1650 / 1600 4* #657 x3 - Megamorph - Magic (Equip) Powers up any monster: +500 ATK +500 DEF (one level) #703 - Sengenjin - BeastWar, Devine 2750 / 2500 8* #714 x3 - Firewing Pegasus - Beast, Pyro 2250 / 1800 6* #784 x3 - Change of Heart - Magic Turns the enemy's strongest monster into an ally If already have five monsters in play, then wasted Comments: --------- Many of his monsters are Fiend element.
