Step Back in Time with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TRADING CARD GAME

Retro Pack 2 from Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.

Release Includes Unique Cards Not Available in Years

El Segundo, CA  (July 28, 2009) – Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) fans will be happy to “step back in time” to get their hands on Retro Pack 2 – the newest dynamic release from Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE).  This latest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG release allows players to get popular, out-of-print cards from older booster sets, as well as previously released magazine, movie and video game promotional cards. Retro Pack 2 is available now at hobby stores nationwide.

The 100-card set boasts the most sought after cards from the 4th – 7th booster sets of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Pharaoh’s Servant, Labyrinth of Nightmare, Legacy of Darkness, and Pharaonic Guardian. Cards of note from these sets include such all-time favorites as “Dark Necrofear,” “United We Stand,” “Mage Power,” “Dark Ruler Ha Des,” “Injection Fairy Lily,” and “Lava Golem,” making Retro Pack 2 a valuable set for any Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fanatic.

Among the many limited print cards in Retro Pack 2 are “Light and Darkness Dragon” from SHONEN JUMP magazine / Light and Darkness Power Pack, and “Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon” from Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie. Retro Pack 2 is bursting at the seams with highly collectible cards like video game promo card “Harpie’s Pet Dragon” (out of print since 2002) and “Dragon Master Knight,” previously released only in the Ultimate Edition 2 in 2006. Each Retro Pack 2 blister contains three boosters of Retro Pack 2 and a Secret Rare “Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest” card, for an approximate retail price of $9.99.

Retro Pack 2 will satisfy players looking to fill-in their collections and help new players looking for highly usable older cards,” said Kevin Tewart, senior research & development manager for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “The Secret Rare “Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest” is a juggernaut for any Beast Deck.  And to be able to get cards like “Harpie’s Pet Dragon,” which have been out-of-print for so long, makes Retro Pack 2 a real jackpot,” added Tewart.
