UPPER DECK ENTERTAINMENT INVITES Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME FANS TO TAKE A ‘SNEAK PREVIEW’ AT HOT NEW FLAMING ETERNITY EXPANSION SET

Sneak Preview Event Offers First Glimpse of New Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Expansion Set

CARLSBAD, Calif. – January 20, 2005 — Celebrating the much-anticipated release of the newest Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME expansion set – Flaming Eternity -- Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE), the official distributor of Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, invites Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fans to take a sneak preview at the upcoming set on Saturday and Sunday, February 26 & 27. Celebrating the release in over sixty North American cities, the Flaming Eternity Sneak Preview events will allow Duelists a chance to get their hands on the new cards before they are available anywhere else. Duelists can also compete to win prizes, and receive an all new “Cyber Harpie Lady” simply by showing up.

To find a Flaming Eternity Sneak Preview event near you, visit www.yugiohpreview.com.

Bringing a new look to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Flaming Eternity offers an exciting new set of highly collectible cards with new game play options, and with monsters that can revive from the graveyard. These cards offer long-term rewards and allow carefully planned strategies in the game. Many of the monsters currently appear on the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, allowing Duelists to create decks and themes seen on television. With new Fusion Monster support cards, and the new devastating Fusion Monster, Flaming Eternity is a great way to kick off the fourth year of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG.

Among Duelists, the demand for booster sets has continued to increase as more Duelists compete in the Duelist League and Hobby Store Leagues, held in neighborhood hobby stores across North America. Currently, more than 600,000 duelists are registered in more than 6,000 stores across North America.
In addition, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Collectible Tins were recently featured as an “All Star” in 2004’s holiday edition of Toy Wishes Magazine. In recent years, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG earned top spots on the hottest Christmas wish lists at KB Toys, and was listed as one of the most highly sought-after toys in Toy Wishes Magazine, Business Week, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is a product of the KONAMI CORPORATION, and is distributed worldwide (with the exception of Asia) by the Upper Deck Company.
