Missed last week’s Traditional tourney on account of being in Las Vegas, which wasn’t too bad...  I finally got a BLS!  Happy happy happy...anyway, my title suggests the average opinion of the deck for anyone in a place like Florida, California, etc.  Out here, though, it’s fairly similar to the regular Chaos decks.  I had to put my own spin on it since I can’t stand cookie-cutters.  Here it is:

That took me around half an hour to type...

 

Somehow, these people managed to not only lose the Gamecube’s power cable again...they lost the entire Gamecube!!!  How the heck can you do that?  Oh well, a few new people strolled in, one holding a Metalmorph that Paul went immediately nuts over.  After a few unsuccessful trade attempts and a game of Duel Masters, pairings were announced.

 

1st Round
TrooperDragon vs. Matt R.
My name is Matt L.  Which is why I hate when he comes here.  Every time somebody calls him it distracts and aggravates me.  I really need a nickname or something...  I have faced his deck at least 5 times and have no idea what it is.

 

Duel 1 & 2
TV has rotted my brain, cause I can’t remember any of this match.  I think I got out BLS twice.

Intermission: Bought my first Wild Cherry Pepsi, scanned some cards, boring...

 

2nd Round
TrooperDragon vs. Hitman
His real name is Alex, but we just call him this.  His pleasant day usually includes threats to Lucky’s seemingly worthless life.  He usually runs a Burn deck, but has recently taken up coin flipping w/ Final Countdown.

 

Duel 1
Breaker was key here.  An early Level Limit blocked me for a while, and by then a Fairy Box had appeared to aggravate what I could attack with.  Basically a goat killing spree until Breaker came, and then I got to blast both cards thx to Apprentice’s effect.  My third overkill with BLS.  My strong hate for that card is slowly turning into love...
Duel 2
Oh, how I hate Fox Fire.  I hate it, hate it, hate it.  Every time I blow it up, it comes back...that was basically his main defense for lack of me drawing anything else.  Fairy Box popped up again with friends, Ordeal of a Traveler and Level Limit.  Kudos to Breaker and Apprentice, who got me out of that sticky situation.  At least I got to blast the foxes with BLS...that was fun.

Intermission: Nothing...charged a pack and pulled crap.

 

3rd Round
TrooperDragon vs. Lucky
The worthless pathetic excuse for a human being.  He says stupid things, knocks over game systems, and asks for hugs.  As a result, most people either stay away from him or want to kill him.  Today he rambled on about filing his teeth to look like a shark’s...  He’s got an Earth/Warrior deck that still hasn’t been updated.

 

Duel 1
Hmm...taking out the trash, but with me being less defiant.  A quick Amazoness Paladin brought me down to around 2000.  And then I drew Vortex.  Following were Exiled Force, Hysteric Fairy, and other friends to quickly take him down.
Duel 2
Oh, how much fun this was.  2 GAF attacks left us both at 5700 (I Cylindered one).  After a quick Vortex and Duo, he was left rather optionless.  Around this time I started my weekly dose of Magician abuse.  Using the Magicians, Books of Moon, and whatever other means, I managed to use Pot and Graceful about 4 times each.  Another overkill featuring BLS.

4th Round AKA Finals
TrooperDragon vs. Paul
The Metalmorph man.  He never did get it...  Overall, a fairly annoying kid that gets easily aggravated.  I proved that in the duel.  Once again, a classic CCCC, but with Wave-Motion Cannons.

 

Duel 1
4 turns max.  How about a quick beatdown via Hysteric and Don and BLS at the last?  Breaker tends to help more than he knows...
Duel 2
Blech.  This started with a fairly early lockdown via Wall of Revealing Light.  Lacking any M/T removal, I helped myself through about 6 turns worth until he gave me a Lava Golem.  My valiant efforts of Ringing it killed me and put him at 1400.
Duel 3
How much fun...this opened with him having a quick BLS, which nearly killed me had I not drawn/topdecked Tribe.   From there I was able to even the score despite an Ordeal of a Traveler.  That was the fun part.  After guessing Wall of Revealing Light correctly, I kept calling it every time I attacked, succeeding for about 6 attacks before missing twice.  By that time, I was able to summon BLS and he couldn’t really do anything about it.

I’m still not sure whether that happened or not, since I have practically no skill at constructing metagame decks.  Oh well, I got 2 Dark Revelation, hoping for a Reflect Bounder.  Naturally, I pulled crap.  I got 2 Gravekeeper’s Chief, a 3rd Necrovalley, and a Breaker for my soon-to-be Gravekeeper deck.  Then I got kicked out of the store on account of Warhammer people.  KFC’s Popcorn Chicken soon finished my good day and my appetite.  Now for the best part of any report that includes it...Props & Slops.
