I ended up trading my forceful and 3 pound for a mint 1st ED forceful and buying a dark triceratops for a pound, which will eventually go into my trample deck. I had a few friendly games with my brother and a few newbs and yata’d them every time. In this tournament there are about 8 realy experienced skilled players a few good people and a few NEWBS and a John Tang. As the tournament registration was about to end people realised that 3 of the better players were not there, Tyma, Matt and Kieran. Eventually they came and they’re delay was due to Kieran wearing a duel disk through the centre of town. Round 1 Was against Lord of darkness (dragon) This guy was pretty demented, I think he had mental problems (seriously) as he talked realy loud and thought he was kaiba. Every time he would play a card he would shout it’s name at the top of his voice, I know it’s nasty but he was exactly the same as the retarded brother off ‘There’s something about Mary’ This was probably the easiest duel I’ve had in a long time, I yata locked him twice in a row, he would set all his cards first turn so all I needed was a duster and a yata. Points:3 Round 2 Snow blind (control) This was a kid about 12, he hasn’t been going long and last time I played him he was no challenge. I decided to take it easy on him I went first and set a slate and a mirror force (I know it’s a bad move but I was trying to be nice) To my disbelief on his turn he used ALL 3 PRENAGATORS leaving me with no hand, he had gotten a lot better, he then summoned a Don and attacked slate. I used mirror force and he ended. On my turn I top decked a POG (sigh of relief) I activated it and got a yata and a confiscation. I confiscated his yata leaving him with a jinzo, flipped slate summoned yata and locked him for the win. I was prepared in the second game and beat him down with berserk and Don. Points: 6 Kieran (warrior/zombie) I was worried about this match as we are pretty evenly matched and are games are always close. I won the coin toss and went first I used forceful to put his monster reborn back and set a DD and a waboku. We were both constantly on the offensive but I managed to protect my life points with waboku’s and books of moon I eventual beat him with a direct hit from Don. The second game was much closer and he held me off with reaper and slowly but steadily got hits on my life. I eventually beat him down to win 2-0 Points: 9 In between this round we decided to play ‘duel master’ (well our version of it) we would each draft some random cards take six steps back from each other and then throw them at each other. Unfortunately I hit keiran in the eye with a card so we decided to stop. Round 4 Rhys (zombie) Rhys is a realy good duelist and has won it about 5 times this year. He went first and played defensive. Luckily for me I had an amazing hand, I had POG, graceful and 2 prenagators and yata. I beat him pretty quick but that was only because I prenagatord him. The second game was nearly the same I used POG and prenagatord him, I think I won with yata. Points: 12 I thought I was in with a good chance of winning, I was the only one on 12 and the person in second was Tyma who had 10. I had to play him and whoever won would win the tournament. Round 5 Tyma (beatdown/control) I won the first game with yata, it was pretty close and if it wasn’t for the book of moon I played on his jinzo I would have lost. He won the second game by beating me down, he finished me off with tribe and my berserk. The last game was awesome and I just managed to beat him down with one of my slates and his airknight. Points: 15 I won the tournament for the 6th time this year. I picked my prize packs and they were: 1 IOC 2 DCR 2 PGD I had an interdimensional matter transporter and a question and 3 rubbish rares. After the tournament I played keiran with my Jap ‘reversed worlds deck’ and lost 1-2 If you have any suggestions about my deck or any questions about the tournament you can e-mail me on chrismccarley@msn.com and my name is Christopher McCarley
