From: Marcus Nightingale [ marcus_nightingale@hotmail.com ] Mantis’ Eat my dust SUKA! deck. Coleridge Community College 2004 secret tournament (has to be secret or we get grief from guys at school who think their all hard). Some dudes house. Cambridge, England. This is my deck for the tournament: Monsters: 17 Second goblin x 1 Penguin soldier x 1 Sword hunter x 1 Princess of tsurugi x 3 Magical marionette x 1 Giant orc x 1 Blue eyes white dragon x 3 Lord of d. x 1 Launcher spider x 1 Spikebot x 1 Troop dragon x 1 (because my deck got mixed in with my trading pile and I had no time to sort it out fully so I just got as close as I could) Relinquished x 1 Dark magician x 1 Spell cards: 19 Shield and sword x 2 Cold wave x 2 Monster reborn x 1 The flute of summoning dragon x 1 7 completed x 3 Scapegoat x1 Dian keto the cure master x 1 Malevolent nuzzler x 1 Block attack x 2 Graceful charity x 1 Black illusion ritual x 1 Token thanks giving x 1 Stop defence x 1 Black pendant x 1 Traps: 18 Waboku x 3 Numinous healer x 2 Bottomless trap hole x 1 7 tools of the bandit x 3 Solemn wishes x 1 Raigeki break x 1 Ray of hope x 1 Ready for intercepting x 1 Fairy’s hand mirror x 1 Robin’ goblin x 1 Life absorbing machine x 1 Thunder of ruler x 1 Gravity bind x 1 Round one: I was against this guy called Antony, kicked his butt because he was a complete newbie, his deck was basically just a Joey deck, and a summoned skull from a booster pack. (We weren’t playing side decks because it was a tournament that wasn’t very well organised.) I cancelled out most of his attack force with gravity bind, and used relinquished as soon as I got it to get his summoned skull’s attack power and that, basically got rid of him after a few hundred turns. He did some minor damage with red eyes the turn before I got gravity bind. Overall I crushed him in both duels by luck of draw and a better deck and more knowledge of the game. Pretty boring duel demolished him twice in a row. Round two Skills, luck or cheat pretty slow duel until I tributed lord of d and giant orc for launcher spider and played three 7 completed fort a 4300 attack launcher spider which destroyed he guy (who’s name I never got!). He had a pretty random selection of cards. Not so much luck in next two duels destroyed by unexpected lucky hands from the dude. That’s the end of the tournament for me. My best friend went on to win the title, which I then won from him the next day, with a superior deck to the one that made me lose. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself with cool new emoticons http://www.msn.co.uk/specials/myemo
