This was a free tournament so i expected there to be more people showing up. But it was alot of fun. I dueled a couple of times before the tournament started. Mainly with Travis. Then I became worried that my friend brandon wouldn't show up. But he did show up at like the last couple minutes. So now the tournament is starting. 1st match Me vs. Kevyn A. (Spellcaster deck) Well, this guy had a spellcaster deck. I yata-locked him both matches. But he did have some good stratagies and was able to special summon a couple dark Magicians from his deck by using his Skilled Dark Magicians. After this match I became very inpatient. I was the first one done. And I'm not the person who likes to wait. Finally the Second Round came. 2nd Round Me vs. Elmo/Alan (He ran a beatdown amazaoness deck) Elmo and I have had a small rivalry. The first tournament he went to i beat him. And then he beat me the rest of the tournaments. But today I got some revenge. I was able to yata lock him in the first match. The second match was different though. He got his fiber jar off of a reload, and he got to flip it and attack me for some major life points and i lost the second duel. But during the 3rd duel i was able to use my fiber jar to my own advantage and i attacked with Kycoo (i think) for game. Now I am 2-0 3rd Round Me vs. Travis (He ran a burn deck) Well Travis is a pretty good duelest. But he used up his burn cards to quickly and i was able to yata-lock him pretty quickly. The only thing about this match was that we had a heated agrument about how you can't tribute off troop dragon and get another one with cannon soldier. then i called the judge (but wasn't the main judge), and he wasn't sure and because everyone else at the table except my friend said you could get another troop dragon if you shot it off with Cannon Soldier. But his ruling didn't mind me because i knew i could beat him. And i did. Now I am 3-0 4th Round Me vs. Hong (beatdown deck) This is probably my bestfriend that plays yu-gi-oh! Well, I was sort of nevrous when I herd i was playing him because he was the only one I had seriously play-tested my yata deck against. And he is pretty good. The first match he blows me away, litterally. In the 2nd and 3rd duel I was able to beat him. But in one of those matches that i won there was contraversy because i accidently snatch stole his mataza, and no one remembered that his effect said he couldn't change field position. Well then colby came by and said that i couldn't and we were like OH yeah!. So we didn't know what to do so we just went on from there, and i eventually won. Now I am 4-0 After that i felt wierd because of what happened, and if it didn't happen would i have won? But after that i went around to watch a couple of matches. I watched Kristoph and Mike duel. Mike won and i eventually will duel him. 5th Round Me vs. Matt (An older guy who runs a Chaos Deck) Well i've played this guy before and he is very intimidating because he is older than most of the people who play cards and he usually wins the tournaments. But luckly I came with a Yata-Deck (which i don't think he was expecting). During the first duel I yata locked him pretty quickly, and I think he was sort of mad because he made me play it out. But that was ok. Then the Second Duel. It was a little bit closer. He got me down to 3900 life. But i was able to get him into a small yata lock and I snatch stole his DD Warrior Lady to win. Now I am 5-0 After winning against Matt, I was very proud, and felt like no one could stop me. I had never made it this far. And all the potential threts for beating me were gone. 4 of them were people i beat. Matt, Hong, Elmo, and Travis. Championship!!!! Me vs. Mike (A very good duelst who ran an interesting deck) I say an interesting deck because I'm not quite sure what kind of deck it was. He had gigantis and chaos monsters. So i guess he knew what he was doing. But he was a nice guy. I was easily fooled by him. I didn't think he would do very well in the tournament, and here he is setting across from me playing in the championship. Well I beat him both duels. It all went by very fast. I'm pretty sure Mirage of Nightmare helped alot in this duel. As it did in many other duels today. Now for the Props and Slops. Props: --------- To Elmo and Hong because they were the only two to actually beat me and make me play 3 duels in a match. To Todd for holding a free tournament. To Winning 1st Place For receiving 10 AST Packs, and 2 LOD Packs. To My deck For helping me win. (it actually did most of the work) Slops: --------- For me not pulling anything from my packs. (but i shouldn't complain because they were free) For having to play against Hong. ( i wish i could have played him later in the tournament so that we both could have received prizes) Thanks for reading.
