There we have snacks, drinks, Gamecube, X-Box, PS2, and will be adding things like Halo tournaments (maybe) along with any other tournaments for game consoles (maybe), a little card shop (maybe) and much more. We have to make money for the club to buy things like chairs, microwave, etc. It costs $10 to be a member for the year. It costs $1 to come into the store to play. It costs $5 to play a console per hour. All this is to raise money and you also have a chance to get a $500 - $1000 scholarship. So if you live in/near Rolla, stop by and become a member. Now, on to the tournament! First Round: Me vs. Daniel Chang (maybe 8 with a possible beatdown around 70 cards) Duel 1: I figured this kid was pretty new since he played with this deck (with no sleeves too) and since he was young. It started off with me not getting too many monsters in my hand. I got Giant Germ and Grave Protector so I set Giant Germ and a magic/trap. On his turn he summons a monster and attacks my Germ allowing me to get 2 more. My turn, I didn't get anything helpful, so I let him go and he summons another monster attacking both Germs. He also played Solemn Wishes last turn and I destroyed it this turn with MST. My turn I draw Dark Necrofear, summon it, and attack one of his 1800 monsters. It went this way for a while until I got a few Giant Orcs and a Slate Warrior to finish him off. Duel 2: I got a lot of fiends in the graveyard with Painful Choice to special summon Necrofear. I had her out for a while and then I drew Goblin King. I had Dimension Fusion in my hand for a while, so I summoned Goblin King, used Dimension Fusion to get out 2 Giant Orcs and a Slate Warrior. I attacked for the win. Second Round: Me vs. Joe Heberlie (?) (around 40 with a sort of beatdown around 40 - 45 cards) I had played Joe 2 times before with my chaos deck, so I knew what he was running. He didn't get any new cards so I was prepared. Duel 1: I was getting a little worried in the first one because he got me down to 2100. I was still feeling confident though he was up by more than 3000, but all I remember is that I got Necrofear by a Dark Hole after I summoned to get 3 fiends in the graveyard and attack directly. I won that duel though, somehow. Duel 2: This one went off pretty slow with us each getting crap. It ended up with me using Tribe's effect on itself by discarding Giant Orc to get 6 fiends in the graveyard. Then I summon 2 Necrofear by removing a lot (mainly 2 Giant Orc), summoning Goblin King, then using Dimension Fusion (I had cleared the field of his Mirror Force earlier with a Duster) to get 2 Giant Orcs to the field doing massive damage. Round 3: Me vs. Cody Feltner (14 with a beatdown of 40 cards) Cody originally had a chaos deck, but he traded his chaos monsters away. So now, it was a little worse. Duel 1: I don't remember how this one went exactly, but I know we kept exchanging hits with good monsters like Orc, Slate, and some of his high attacking monsters but I never got out Necrofear (first time today). I won though, pretty quick too. Duel 2: I got a quick Necrofear out with Painful Choice. I then used Heavy Storm to clear his Call of the Haunted, MST, and another spell and used Raigeki. I then summoned Goblin King, used Dimension Fusion, got out 2 Slate Warriors and a Giant Orc to attack for the win. I beat Cody in around 3 - 5 minutes total. Round 4: Me vs. Forrest Geuterman (15 with a chaos deck with 40 cards) Me and Forrest have been in an "fight" for the past couple of months so this was a fun round. Duel 1: This one went pretty good for me. I got out Goblin King early with 2 Germs which helped a lot, but he got in some good hits too. I eventually won, but not too easily. Duel 2: This was the first duel I lost. We both had gone through over 25 cards of our deck and things weren't too good. He get's a monster reborn and brings back one of my Slate Warriors, uses Raigeki, summons Yata, and in 3 turns, I was gone with no cards in my hand. Duel 3: This was a great duel, like the first one. We were exchanging hits again, but just a little damage here and there with monsters destroyed. He got out his CED when there were 10 cards total (I should have chained my MST to destroy my Call, but oh well). I was down to about 4000 but I had a face down witch on the field getting I think what was a Slate Warrior. He was at about 7600 thanks to my Snatch Steal early on. A few turns later after little luck on both sides, I draw my Grave Protector and set it. He draws Magical Scientist and brings out Ryu Senshi first (I had a face down Imperial) then Dark Baltar plus a Yata and attacks my Grave Protector. That is what saved me. I then bring out Slate and attack his Scientist sending it back to his deck. Sooner or later I get out my Necrofear, but he destroys it and I don't get a monster. It ends up with him at 1400 and with a face up D. D. Warrior Lady, and me with a Slate Warrior and a newly summoned Giant Germ. I attacked his D. D. with Slate and attack with Germ (I had gotten out Goblin King earlier with Necrofear, but they were both destroyed somehow). So it ends up that I won. There were only 3 packs of Ancient Sanctuary left, so I took them and got The Sanctuary in the Sky, Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, and Destructive Burst Stream. It was pretty good, but I could have got better or done worse, so I'm happy. Props: Winning My girlfriend for being there for the last duel of the last round Mt. Dew Game On! Ancient Sanctuary Goblin King + Necrofear + Dimension Fusion (game winner 3 rounds) Fiends Slops: Not pulling too many good cards No more free packs It was hot with 2 fans on and no AC That's it.
