First round: Me v.s. (Some guy) This guy wasn't that bad. He had a pretty good stratedgy. He used Skill Drain with monsters like Zombyra the Dark and Giant Ork. The only flaw in his deck was that he only had 1 skill Drain. I beat him easily. 2 - 0 Second Round: Me v.s. (Some kid) He played a Dark Necrofear deck. He hadn't played for very long, so it wasn't that difficult. At one point, he had me in a lock because he had summoned Dark Necrofear in defense mode and none of my monsters could take out a 2800 def. Eventually though, I drew a change of heart and attacked with Jinzo and Berserk Gorilla for the game. 2 - 0 Third Round: Me v.s. Christoph (beatdown... sort of) He played a basic beatdown with 1900 attack monsters, but he had an End of Anubis and some others from the new set. At one point, he was ahead. He had two 1900 attack monsters out on the field. Luckily I drew Spirit Reaper. I stalled for two turns in which I drew a Dark Hole and a Berserk Gorilla. That was the end of the first match. In the second match, our roles had switched and I had 2 attacking monsters on my side of the field and he only had Twin Headed Behomith. I played Imperial Order during his turn, but he equipped an axe of despair to his twin headed behomith anyway. I had 1400 life points left, I payed for imperial order and attacked him for game. 2 - 0 Fourth Round: I got a by because I was undefeated Fifth Round: Me v.s. Jon (the guy who won the tournament) Jon was an experienced dueler. He used a Yata deck. In the first round I got his life points to zero no problem. The second round was very contriversial because he snatch stole my Mataza the zapper and we both forgot that you couldn't do that. I might've won, but instead of re-doing the turn, we decided just to continue with the match. I lost. In the 3rd match, I lost again. Cons: Very contriversial match and I was out of the tournament after 1 loss while people who lost twice (including the guy I played in the first round) still went on because after the first 3 matches, it turned into single elimination. Pros: It was a free tournament anyway, and nobody pulled anything out of the prize packs. It was fun.
