So there you have it, my Deck. I know it needs work, but it did pretty well. The prizes for winning were as follows...

Entry fee: $5
-Everyone automatically got a tournament pack for entering
-1st prize was 3-4 more tournament packs
-2nd prize was the same as 1st
-3rd prize was 1 more tournament pack

The tournament started at 2:00 PM. And it was a hard-fought tournament. The rounds commence...

Round One - Me vs. some unfortunate younger kid with a Deck full of Tributes... o_o;

Yeesh, I felt bad for this kid. He must have had a billion Tribute Monsters in his Deck, not a good idea. I went first, and my starting Hand wasn't that great... except for getting Raigeki on first draw, which helped. The little guy had me on the ropes for a few turns, simply because he sent out a damn Jirai Gumo(seriously, WHO PLAYS THAT CARD?!) with a Horn of the Unicorn on it, and scored well on the coin flips.. After a while, I got fed up with his overgrown spider and nuked it off the field with Raigeki, then proceeded to throw down some of my weakest Monsters and attack his LP. Sonic Bird, Senju(completing my Relinquished set), and Hoshiningen were the ones to beat the guy down. He never got any Monsters out after his Jirai Gumo, though he did try Dark Hole-ing my little army(to which I promptly responded by activating Solemn Judgment). First Duel went to me.

LP: 4000
His LP: 0

Duel two:

Some people never learn. -_-; He never got a Monster. All he did was hit me with Ookazi and stall me a bit by using two Dian Ketos. In just a few turns I played the Lord of D.(ragons)/Flute combo, got out Blue-Eyes, nailed him with it and Lord, then on next turn drew Harpie's Brother, and tore him apart for the win. Harsh, I know...

LP: 7200 (damn Ookazi)
His LP: 0

The two people next to us were still Dueling, and I got a good look at who I inwardly knew would be my next opponent. The little kid he faced was beating the crap out of him with a Jinzo and stuff, but then I saw how he managed to beat the tough little dude... He was an Exodia player. Exodia, one of the things I knew my Deck would have trouble combatting. %^&*!!! I went into the next Round shaking like a leaf. o_o;

Round Two: Trial of Exodia - Me vs. Josh, 'The Amazing Exodia-Boy'

The first Duel was not exciting at all. I didn't get particularly great draws, and so I never so much as put a dent in his LP. He won by default with Exodia. I hate that thing. -_-*

LP: 5200 (he'd hit me with Ookazis and Cannon Soldier)
His LP: 8000 (Win by Exodia)

Duel two:

I did significantly better this time. He wasn't getting anything good out on the field. That, and he needed to brush up a bit on his playing skills. He was trying to activate traps like five minutes after I'd put a Monster on the field(he even tried to activate Mirror Force when I hadn't Attacked!). Fortunately, Josh(a guy that was judging) shut down many of his operations. Exodia-Boy came out of this Duel learning a thing or two on timing. I won with the Lord of D.(ragons)/Flute combo, pulling Seiyaryu and a Blue-Eyes combined with Luminous Spark to blow his Life Points away. By this time, we had a fairly large crowd gathering, because we were on our third Duel and we were the last two competitors still going at it in the second Round. The pressure was on, and a faint glimmer of hope had appeared... but still I asked myself the question: How does one stop the unstoppable Exodia?!

LP: 5800 (his Cannon Soldier was annoying as %^&*)
His LP: 0

Duel three(!):

... Cyber Jar, that's how. XD Anyway, this was a very exciting Duel, in fact, it was the best I'd ever had! The ENTIRE STORE WAS WATCHING. The storeowner, both judges(Josh and his bro), the storeowner's wife, every parent and sibling in the place, all of Exodia-Boy's friends, the one friend of mine that had been able to come(thanks Adam)... and of course, every Duelist who was still in the tourney or had been defeated. I didn't get off to a great start this Duel; he drew first blood with a Final Flame. I could tell he had some Exodia pieces in his Hand, because he was trying to stall. He had used Prohibition (like in previous Duels) on Card Destruction, so that option was out(damn!). Then it hit me... I needed to grab Cyber Jar and force his crummy Exodia pieces onto the field, where they could do no harm. Man, I love Sangan. :D The overconfident wretch hit me with Raigeki when I had one of them and a Wall of Illusion Set in Defense mode. His biggest mistake ever. I used Sangan to snare me my Cyber Jar, and Set it on my next turn. He passes next turn, and on my next move... I Flipped the Jar. BOOOOOM! I obliterated a bunch of his Monsters. He was not happy. Sure enough, on his five-card pull, he got his remaining Exodia pieces, and Set them(ha ha ha!). I got a great pull from Cyber Jar- Dragons, Lord of D.(ragons), and Flute, ha ha! It was clobbering time. I put down Lord of D.(ragons), and gave him the Flute to play. Sweeter music was never heard, and apparently, my Seiyaryu and Blue-Eyes agreed. ^_^ I proceeded to systematically wipe out his pieces, and his remaining Monsters. Unfortunately, though, the Duel wasn't over yet... he played Dark Hole! Nooo! My Dragons and their Lord all went down the drain. :( Dammit! And time was running out. I had managed to get him down to 6100 with light blows to his LP, but I was hanging on by a mere 2200. And Josh was informing us that we didn't have that much time left at all. If I couldn't get his LP lower than mine, it was all over for me. Turns passed, and I eventually got ahold of another Blue-Eyes and somehow got enough Monster firepower to Summon it(thank god!). Unfortunately, he was Defending at the time. 3 minutes remaining!!! Next turn, I tried to Summon Wall of Illusion and he used Trap Hole. I attacked with Blue-Eyes, and he used Waboku(URGH). His turn again, and he tried to stall, knowing we had only minutes left, but Josh made him pass because he clearly had nothing to do. My turn came... oh man, I need a Monster, I need a Monster more than I ever needed a Monster and- YES! My second Sangan, and he no longer had anything left to fight back with. I threw down Sangan, had both Monsters attack and... YES! He's at 2100! And what's when Josh called time. I swear, I went crazy, grabbing Adam in a hug and practically dancing in my seat with joy. I thanked Exodia-Boy for giving me one hell of a fight, and we promised to meet eachother on the battlefield again someday. After all the congratulations, I was allowed a five-minute break. I needed to take a breather x_x Man, what a ROUGH Duel!

LP: 2200 (Direct Damage hurts)
His LP: 2100 (Time was called)

Round Three: Guide me ... the Heart of the Cards - Me vs. another Josh, who used a Beatdown Deck

This guy's Deck was a pain in the arse. I'm not kidding. He loved to layer on the pain. We started off with him Summoning various Beatdown Monsters and me Trap Hole-ing some of his early ones, putting him at a slight disadvantage(meanwhile, I was gearing up for Relinquished using Sonic Bird/Senju). I beat on his Life Points hot and heavy for a while, but then he Raigekied some of my Monsters and proceeded to put down a stupid Hayabusa Knight and hit me for 2000. He then threw down a Neo and hit me again because I couldn't find anything to sacrifice to put down Relinquished on next turn. His stupid Pigeon(excuse me, I meant 'Hayabusa Knight') also joined in the assault. Finally, I drew something worth sacrificing- I'm pretty sure it was another of my infamous Sangans. I put it on the field, then Tributed it away for Black Illusion Ritual(since Ritual Summons are Special Summons). This gave me some fun with my Deck, letting me search for Cyber Jar as a backup card. That done, I sent out the terrifying Relinquished(dun dun dunnn). Neo soon found himself stuck in Relinquished's body and Relinquished laid into Josh's Pigeon and killed it. Next turn, the annoying kid plays a Dark Hole, axing my Relinquished and his Neo, and put down a Monster or two over the next few turns to beat on my LP some more. By the time I was at 700 LP, I had my infamous couple in my Hand- Seiyaryu and Blue-Eyes. I also had Lord of D..(ragons). I NEEDED A FLUTE. I threw caution to the wind, trusted in my cards, and... my next draw was... The Flute of Summoning Dragon! All right! ^_^ It's payback time now! Sending out the great Dragon Lord, I tossed 'im the Flute, he played, and uh-oh... the Dragons cometh! I tore off every Monster he had on the field. Next turn came, he had nothing. I drew, put down La Jinn, and laid into him full-force. Needless to say, I won. Whew, that was close... o_o;

LP: 700 (!)
His LP: 0

Duel two:

Another close Duel, but it sure ended with a bang... and with emphasis on 'bang'. This Duel was mostly just the two of us exchanging blows, at first. It didn't help him, though, that in my starting Hand I had two Blue-Eyes, Seiyaryu, and a Flute. All I had to do was wait for Lord of D.(ragons)... or did I? Wait, what's the name of that wonderful card again? Oh yeah... Cyber Jar. I nuked what little Monster coverage he had at the time and pulled the effect. He got nothing good in his draw('cept a Heavy Storm, which was no skin off my back), it was almost completely Defensive Monsters(2000 DEF and such). In other words, nothing I couldn't smash. As for me, I got a SECOND Flute and a Lord of D.(ragons) that I needed. It was time to put the hurt on this dude. I put down Lord of D.(ragons), then played Flute, and put down two Blue-Eyes. Peoples' eyes were getting wide at just that... but it wasn't over! I couldn't resist the evil grin I flashed at him as I put down the -second- Flute and pulled Seiyaryu out, as well. I quote the guy behind him: "Man, you're screwed." My proud winged beasts blew apart all his Monsters, and on his next turn, he had nothing that he could do to stop me. On my next turn I put down La Jinn(this is getting repetitive, La Jinn and Dragons... o_O) and took him out in one huge blast. Round Three was mine.

LP: 5300
His LP: 0

Round Four: The Beginning of the End... Me vs. Des, who also used a Beatdown Deck

Surprisingly, this was a simple Duel. That didn't mean I won it. -_- Our Decks were pretty evenly matched, but I didn't get anything really good going off this time(he killed my Blue-Eyes... grr), and he laid into my Life Points, bringing them down to 0 for the victory.

LP: 0
His LP: 6700 (BEWD had taken out one of his Monsters)

Duel two:

This was an INTENSE Duel, and I came SO close to beating this guy. For the first time today, though, Cyber Jar had failed me. I was beating the living hell out of his LP with my Blue-Eyes(whom I'd gotten out early with Lord of D.(ragons)/Flute combo), and got him down to a shocking 150 LP! Unfortunately, he made a comeback, getting me down to 2050 by pulling some Monster Removal cards on me. He'd destroyed my BEWDs, then brought one of 'em back and had hit me with it and a 7 Colored Fish. I got out my Relinquished combo and almost pulled something off that would have won me the Duel- absorbing my own Blue-Eyes. Unfortunately, though, he pulled Monster Recovery, yanking my Blue-Eyes out of reach and leaving poor Relinquished to catch the blast(later I found out that we'd made a mistake, because Monster Recovery involves snatching a Monster OF YOUR OWN on your side of the field... and it was MY Dragon -_-). I remember putting down a Sangan in DEF mode, which he killed(of course), and that allowed me to search for my secret weapon- Cyber Jar. I ended up nuking about 3-4 Monsters that he had put down(the look on his face was priceless), but unfortunately, while neither of us got very good draws, I didn't get any Monsters('cept a Blue-Eyes I couldn't put down). He Reborned a Flame Cerebrus I'd killed earlier, laid into my LP directly, and KO'ed me out of the tournament. I had to compliment this guy, he gave me a real fight... but next time, I'm READING his cards that I'm not sure on -_- I could've taken this Round. Ah, well... later in the Final, he got his arse handed to him by a different Exodia player(who wasn't playing his Exodia Deck this time, but a Beatdown Deck). Either way, I got third, and since it was my first tournament, I was happy. ^_^

LP: 0 (KO'ed!)
His LP: 150 (!!!)

All in all, it was a great experience, and I -did- get another tournament pack(in which I pulled a Super-Rare 'Exile of the Wicked'... cool). Now on to the Props and Slops section...
