Before I go on I would like to point out that I am trying to build an Anti Exodia Deck with this I just need to get a couple more cards and replace some that I have in here and it will be perfect. Also the Tournament was a 5 dollar entry fee and instead of your normal tourney rules Chuck (the owner of Gamer's Outpost) decided to try something different and do a swiss points tourney. Basicly how this goes is you get points for everything. 2 points per win, and 2 points if you sweep, so if you winn the first two of the three duels you can get 6 points. There are three matches that everyone participates in and of those three matches the top four accumulators of points go on to the finals. I liked it this way because everyone gets a chance to battle in three separate matches. So if a person isn't all that good they still get to duel with 3 different people. Match 1: Me and Anthony Anthony is a pretty good player and has a pretty good deck but he is very cocky. He has an Exodia Deck and as I mentioned earlier my intention is to build an anti exodia deck. Anthony is a good player and plays very smart although he is cocky he knows his cards and he knows the game over all he is one of the better players I have dueled against. 1st round Anthony gets Exodia by prohibiting my card destruction and Using Gravity Bind. 2nd round I win by getting around Gravity Bind with Giant soldier of Stone and Giant Germ. 3rd round Anthony gets exodia again and wins the match. Anthony receives 4 points, I receive 2. Match 2: Me and Alex ( I think??) This one is really no contest I have been playing longer and have much better cards in my deck. He puts up a good fight and stays alive for a while but I sweep with Giant Soldiers of Stone as defensive and Barrel Dragon as Offensive. Alex gets 0 points, I receive 6. Match 3: Me and Jeremy This one is a little better because Jeremy has some better cards in his deck than the last duel. He puts up a good fight and at on point has me down to 4500 life points but with my solemn wishes and mysterious puppeteer I end up with over 12,000 life points at the end of the battle. I sweep this one also. Jeremy 0, I receive 6 points. My point total is 14 and I am in 3rd place for point standings. Anthony (match 1) has 17, and another Exodia player (Chris) also has 17. The 4th place player has 13 and so the finals begin. Match 4: Me and Chris (Exodia here we go again) Chris is a pretty good player who has a good deck and is a very cool guy. He has a good deck and good cards but he doesn't act like he is the best in the world. He plays with confidence and likes to joke around I feel he is one of the better players that I have dueled against. Round 1: Chris pulls Exodia because I cannot draw my card destruction and banisher of the light combo. I had him down to 2000 life points and if he hadn't pulled Exodia that round I would have had him on the next turn with a hand of Heavy Storm, Giant Trunade, & a field of 1 Summoned Skull and a Barrel Dragon. Round 2: I beat Chris with Giant Soldier of Stone, Barrel Dragon, and Summoned Skull on the field and a giant trunade, card destruction combo. Round 3: Chris Pulls Exodia even though I used card destruction twice due to Magician of Faith. Guess I wasn't meant to win this one. I ended up with 3rd overall and will see these guys next week.
