Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension Hello to all Pojo and Yugioh fans one and the same! I'm sorry it's been so long since you have heard from me. I haven't written anything in nearly a month, and I haven't done a Card of the Day review in going on three weeks. I haven't disappeared or died; my world just kind of collapsed on me all at the same time. Please, allow me to explain, beginning with the title of this article. First, if you understand the title BEFORE reading the explanation, you are incredible. It's a very obscure reference from a Season 5 episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, entitled "Darmok." Anyway, let's recap what has happened in my world over the last month. My last article was on July 3rd, and the world was good. Three days later, my best friend of nearly twenty years was hit by a drunk driver. He spent ten days in the hospital on life support, and eventually passed away on the 14th of July...may his soul rest in peace. Needless to say, the death of my best friend left me a little shaken, and broken, to say the least. So, the first thread of my life begins to come undone; however, little did I know the rest of my world was about to unravel piece by painful piece. Next, my parents have finalized their divorce. This has been coming for years, it just was a really bad time. My mom has moved to Denver, Colorado, while my father stays here in Michigan. That's part two of things coming undone...and keep in mind loyal readers, the world has very few truths to it, but this is one that will always be true: when life and the world have you down, no matter how bad things seem, they can and usually do, get worse. Which, in turn, brings me to my next point. My friend's funeral is scheduled for August 1st, and I was working my ass of with his family to get everything together, this was very important to me but then, the world takes another cheap shot at me. I get called from the military July 27th in the evening about having to make up my Annual Training for the National Guard. My training was scheduled for July 28th to August 11th. I begged and pleaded to go late, told my story and how I needed to be at my friend's funeral, but it wasn't happening. I had to miss his damn funeral. I didn't get to pay my respects to him until today, when I finally returned. On Wednesday, August 15th, I left for college. I may again, not have any internet access and will be withdrawn from you loyal readers, until I get on my feet at school, probably around September. However, life, and the game of Yugioh go on. We're almost finished with this format. I will of course be chiming in with my thoughts as soon as we get something official. So, I deeply apologize and regret for not devoting enough of my time to you. What good am I here if I can't deliver what you want...articles and insight into the game? I feel as though I have let all of you down. I looked forward to this summer, I expected more free time, more articles, but it just didn't work out. So, I thought you at least deserved to know what the hell had happened to me, and where I had been. That does it, and I hope to be back, as soon as I can.
