Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Constructing the Blue Eyes Deck
04.24.07

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Sorry I've been away for a while, it's been a busy time. The semester is almost over, and next week are finals. I have drill for the National Guard this weekend, and I've finally gotten all my paperwork and such taken care of since I'm transferring to another college in the Fall.

Anyway, I said a short while ago that I would construct a Blue Eyes White Dragon deck, so sure enough, that's what I intend on doing today.
Blue Eyes White Dragon has no effect, but obviously is a powerful monster with 3000 attack points.

Let's start with monsters

Fusion Monsters x4

Five Headed Dragon x2
Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon x2

Most of the monsters in this deck are Dragons, so summoning Five Headed Dragon (via Dragon's Mirror) shouldn't be terribly difficult. With three Blue Eyes White Dragon, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon is a logical pick as well.

Tribute Monsters x5

Blue Eyes White Dragon x3
Tyrant Dragon
Airknight Parshath

Three Blue Eyes White Dragons is an obvious choice, and Tyrant Dragon is also quite powerful. Airknight Parshath helps add a little speed and draw power to the deck. If you don't want a fourth two tribute monster, try a Luster Dragon #2 instead.

Non-Tribute monsters x18

Luster Dragon x3
Vorse Raider x3
Spear Dragon x3
Masked Dragon x2
Exploder Dragon x2
Kaiser Sea Horse x2
Sangan
Treeborn Frog
Neo Spacian Grand Mole

All right, here everything is pretty straight forward. Luster Dragon and Spear Dragon are both offensive, and Dragons that can help summon Five Headed Dragon. Vorse Raider is also added beatdown, while Exploder Dragon and Masked Dragon add destruction and speed to the deck. Kaiser Sea Horse is fairly strong and can make it easier to summon Blue Eyes. Sangan is for searching and Treeborn Frog and Grand Mole are to help tribute and for a little defense.

Magic cards x 16

Dragons Mirror x3
Shrink x3
Snatch Steal
Premature Burial
Dimension Fusion
Card Trader
Brain Control
Mystical Space Typhoon
Heavy Storm
Scapegoat
Confiscation
Enemy Controller

Trap cards x6

Solemn Judgement x2
Mirror Force
Ring of Destruction
Dragon's Rage
Torrential Tribute

The Magic and Trap cards are all pretty straight forward. This is a Dragon beatdown deck, and it needs to move quickly. It does have 45 cards, so it is a little big, but the deck usually moves fast enough, so it isn't that big of a problem. There is plenty of resource replenishment as well as speed. Dragons are very powerful cards, so enjoy the deck!

That does it for today, and I hope you enjoyed it. Please, as always, feel free to contact me with anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
