Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
The Verdict of 2005
1.13.06
Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! I come to
you again today to discuss the game and things that happened
in the year 2005.
Kudos to Ben who beat me to doing this, but I wanted to do
it as well.
The Structure decks was something new we got this year which
is a real cool way to get new duelists involved. For the
most part, the structure decks contain a nice set of 40
cards to get you dueling right away. These are a much better
way of dueling than the original starter decks.
We also received six different boosters this year. From Soul
of the Duelist all the way up to the most recent Elemental
Energy.
Soul of the Duelist
SOD brought us the set of Hours monsters and the Armed
Dragon set, which was cool. We also got Mobius the Frost
Monarch, Master of Oz, and Ojama King which is good...right?
The set wasn't really that great honestly.
Rise of Destiny
RDS had the Creator which may win the award for most n00b
wanted card of the year. This set was essentially crap in my
opinion. There wasn't really anything to get.
Flaming Entity
This gave us the "all powerful" Phoenix and Lightning
Vortex, two cards that almost anyone wanted before the set
was even released, and with good reason.
The Lost Millenium
We got DD Survior and Brain Control from this set as well as
an overwhelming load of unnecessary rock support including
those Gear Golem cards. Not a whole lot was needed from this
set either. The craptacular E-Heros began to emerge also.
Cybernetic Revolution
CRV brought us even MORE E-Hero support and there's still
more coming sadly. Cyber Dragon came though and that was a
blessing yet a curse all at the same time. Cyber Dragon is
here to stay for the time being and we also got the deadly
Cyber End Dragon.
Elemental Energy
Nope, the E-Hero support isn't done, and it will keep
coming, you can be assured of that. Dark World has been
released and it definately could be something to worry
about. Graceful Charity may have been banned simply for
that. We also got Pot of Avarice which I'm fairly
indifferent about.
Shadow of Infinity is coming soon as is the long awaited
Spellcaster Structure deck, so look forward to that.
That does it for today and I hope you enjoyed it. Please
feel free to contact me with anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu
Also, I'll be celebrating my 1 year anniversary here at Pojo
next Friday, and I'd LIKE to say I've got some big article
or something planned...but that would be lying. I'll get of
my ass and do something though.
