Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Satellite Cannon

1.28.06

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! I again apologize for not being able to write more frequently, but I try...oh how I try.

Anyway, today I come to you to talk in detail about the Japanese card, Satellite Cannon.

Satellite Cannon
Level 5
0-0
Light-Machine-Effect

Effect: This card is not destroyed as a result of batlle by Level 7 monsters or below. This card gains 1000 attack poinst during each of your end phases. This cards attack is reset to 0 after each attack.

Satellite Cannon is a very interesting card, and we did once see it on the anime used by Lector against Kaiba in the Noah arc.
Anyway...Satellite Cannon has 0 attack so it is searchable by Sangan.
However, it is a Level 5 monster, so it requires a tribute.

On the plus side, it can't be destroyed by monsters that are below Level 8! How many Level 8 monsters are played commonly? Maybe Phoenix and Despair From the Dark. Now, if you don't want to take any damage, you could set Satellite Cannon and wait for it to be attacked. That way it can just build up its attack to 3000 or higher and then switch into attack mode.

However, there are a few problems with this card as well. Since Satellite Cannon only gains 1000 attack during your end phase, your opponent has x turns to find a way to deal with this card before you attack with it. Furthermore on the downside factor, everytime it attacks, it's attack goes back to 0 leaving you open for some damage, depending on how many monsters your opponent may have.

Although Satellite Cannon can't be destroyed (unless they have a Level
8 or higher monster), it can still very much take damage when attacked, so use it carefully. (assuming we ever get this card.)

That does it for today, and I hope you enjoyed it. Please feel free to contact me with anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
