Hello Pojo Fans,

Imperial Iron Wall is a solid side deck card that continues to have a great deal of use in the meta.

No banishing for anyone while this card is out, and for some decks that can be a big problem. Kozmos live for banishing, as well as Zombie decks and Chaos-based decks. Dark Armed Dragon loses its ammo to remove and pop, Macro Cosmos gets countered, and Malicious isn't getting removed to Special Summon another copy. It can also be used offensively by preventing you from removing for Allure of Darkness (now at 2). With Kozmo decks dominating and Pendulum Decks getting hit hard by the ban list, this card isn't going anywhere. I'd have at least 2 in the side deck, if not a full playset unless you do a ton of removal.

Happy Friday! Imperial Iron Wall is an extremely simple and useful Continuous Trap Card. It prevents all banishing. So it doesn't target or negate anything which is why I love this, Majesty's Fiend, and Vanity's Fiend. "Floodgates" prevent all of a certain event from happening. This one is very useful against many decks that rely on banishing which makes it an excellent Side Deck card. It is also useful to chain this to some of your own effects like 1 of those 2 Allure of Darkness. Allure of Darkness would draw you two cards, chain Imperial Iron Wall, and then you just reveal a Dark monster in your hand and keep all the cards. Run these unless you run some Chaos deck. In that case, fear these and run Twin Twister.

Score: 4/5 Simple and effective.
Art: 4.5/5 It looks like iron to me.

Imperial Iron Wall

There’s not much that can be said about cards like Imperial Iron Wall. Floodgates need no real explanation. At certain times, they are standard side deck fodder and even main deck staples during tournaments, depending on the meta. At other times, they are afterthoughts. It’s hard to rate a card like that. It’s the same struggle as trying to give a proper rating to a card like Norden. It’s nothing without Instant Fusion, but broken otherwise. So who’s the real hero? (Mitch Hedberg’s voice just sounded off in my head.)

So I won’t try to expand too much on a review for this. Right now, it’s a great card against Kozmos, Infernities, and some others. And in the future it will be used to both hinder and bolster a variety of themes, because let’s be honest, the “banished pile” that used to be called “removed from the game” is now just a second graveyard. It will rise and fall like the tide until it’s banned, which is maybe where it belongs.

Average Score for an a-ok card.
