Daily Since 2002!

Star Seraph Scepter
- #SECE-EN018

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Star Seraph" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Star Seraph Scepter". An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using 3 or more monsters, including this card on the field, as Xyz Materials gains this effect. ● When it is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 other card on the field; destroy it, and if you do, you can draw 1 card.

Searching makes it pay for itself, and being able to do so on Special Summons makes it more versatile.  Also, while a 3 LV4 XYZ monster is a bit tough to summon, this card will mostly offset the cost of the XYZ summon by letting you draw and destroy an opponent's card.  And that's before we even factor in the XYZ monster's effects itself and the effects of the other materials used to summon it.

Paladin

Star Seraph Scepter...Deck Support and Tech Support, being a nifty little piece of Tech.  Light, Fairy, (although it sure looks like a Machine) Level 4, with a good 1800 attack and a not so great 400 defense.  When Normal OR Special Summoned, you're allowed (note can, so optional, but I assume you would if you can, save you don't have another target available in the Deck) to add a Star Seraph Monster from your Deck to your Hand, present company excluded of course.  Secondly, if you use this card as XYZ Material for an XYZ Monster using three or more XYZ Material for said summon, that XYZ Monster gains the effect of being able to another card on the Field (note said card has to be targeted however) and there's no restriction to type of card....Monster, Magic, or Trap, and if successful, you Draw one card from your Deck.  So he's a +1 to the Hand in terms of resources upon Summoning, and potentially if used for the second effect, that's another +1.  He's good either/or for the Deck, or as tech, as opened with.
