Formerly known as El Shaddoll Nephilim (which means child of god) but the name was censored to something more vaguely religious.

El Shaddoll Construct

At first, people thought Winda was the standout Shaddoll monster.  But it turns out that Winda doesn't pose much of a threat to half of the decks out there, and Construct is the standout option.

It does require a LIGHT monster, which sometimes you won't have in hand, but you don't gain any less card advantage than you do Winda.  Since you get to dump a Shaddoll on summon, either way you get 2 Shaddolls in grave.  It depends whether you're looking for raw ATK power to scare the opponent or if you want a mini-lockdown with Winda.  Generally, Construct is your mainstay option.

So, on summon, you have several options on what to dump:

1. Squamata (to fill your graveyard and trigger another Shaddoll effect)

2. Dragon (destroys a spell/trap to help Construct advance safely.  Don't use Dragon if you suspect your opponent is using a chainable trap, though.)

3. Falco (sets itself in defense position and can summon another Shaddoll).  I generally like mixing offensive monsters with defensive monsters for a balance, and as a contingency in case something goes wrong.

4&5. Hedgehog and Beast draw and search if you want to plus, but neither of the above options sound appealing.

To me, in my Shaddoll build, Construct is basically there to just grind out the opponent's resources.  Fuel the Shaddoll effects and fill up my graveyard to summon it.  Take out an opponent's monster, or exhaust their removal to kill it, and then gain a card off of it when its destroyed.  Construct may be the best monster in the deck but it is by no means the main objective of the deck.  I use Construct to grind out the opponent and take out threats and then beat them with my other monsters.

Assessments

Power – 4 ; With 2800 ATK and a Catastor-like effect that instantly destroys Special Summon monsters in battle before damage calculation, it can get over any monster.  It's also a target for Sephylon the Ultimate Time Lord which allows you to have two giant 4000 ATK monsters.

Versatility – 4 ; Winda is moreso the fusion you want in certain situations, whereas Construct is the one you want in almost all situations.

Dependability – 4 ; The one downside is that you need a LIGHT monster in your hand that you're willing to give up (if the opponent has no XYZ's).  That aside, it's really self-sufficent and the cost is well manageable.

Card Advantage – 4 ; You 1-for-1 or even plus on summoning this card and its a heavy floater.  It also replaces itself when destroyed.

Speed – 5 ; The dumping effect activates on summon (it will work unless your opponent has Solemn Warning) and this card is easily cranked out.

Verdict

All Shaddoll deecks NEED at least 2 of these ; even 3 is great.

El Shaddoll Construct

Just when we thought we were done with them, we have yet another Shaddoll review, in this case the Shaddolls boss monster El Shaddoll Construct.

El Shaddoll Construct is a Level 8 LIGHT/Fairy Fusion monster which requires 1 “Shaddoll” Monsters and 1 LIGHT Monster. There are already a couple of problems here; first off being a LIGHT/Fairy means it doesn’t fit in with the rest of the archetype which are DARK/Spellcaster Monsters. Secondly there are no other (at present) Shaddoll Monsters, so the only ways to get this out are by using an existing El Shaddoll Construct as material, using Shaddoll Core (the preferred way) or actually including non-Shaddoll LIGHT monsters which might work in some chaos variant of the deck. Other than that is 2800 ATK and 2500 DEF are both good for a level 8.

Effectwise, well first it has the condition that it must first be Fusion Summoned, no real problems there. If this card is Special Summoned you can send a Shaddoll card from your deck to the Graveyard. More than likely going to send a monster so you can get its graveyard effect and since it gets the effect no matter how it is Special Summoned, this makes it even better.
El Shaddoll Construct’s main party piece is that at the start of the Damage step it can destroy any Special Summoned Monster it battles, granted with 2800 ATK it would problem kill most of the anyway but this is a really nice effect. Finally  if this card goes to the graveyard you can recycle one Shaddoll Spell/Trap which is always good.

Overall nice effects and good stats, getting this card out is the main problem, but if you can it is another must for Shaddolls

El Shaddoll Construct

Well, we've seen 2 YCSs, an ARGCS and a TCGPlayer Open and Shaddolls saw massive success in all of them. Construct is definitely the number 2 go to fusion. Construct has 3 separate effects. When it's special summoned, meaning you can bring it back with the newly repopularized call of the haunted and do this, you can send any shaddoll card to the graveyard, triggering any of their effects. If it battles a special summoned monster you can destroy it immediately and finally, if it goes to the graveyard, you can add a shaddoll spell or trap from the graveyard to the hand. Now obviously the fusion materials hurt it cause if you're playing pure Shaddolls you aren't packing lights to make this, but we go back to the HERO days and find Super Polymerization and there's where Construct gets good. If you're playing vs Bujins or Satellars, you can bait out stuff like bottomless with your normal summon(or simply set your shaddoll monster) and super polymerization it, and your opponents monster(which in the above situations would be light) and bring out Construct AND you get your shaddoll fusion material monsters effect.

Traditional 2.5/5
Advanced 3.75/5 Winda is the superior fusion but Construct is no slouch and is definitely needed as much as Winda is

El Shaddoll Construct is the last Shaddoll card we have to review if I’m not mistaken, and she’s also the main boss of the Deck. Being a Fusion of any Shaddoll and a LIGHT monster means she’s not quite as easy to summon, though it’s still fairly simple to do with any of the splashable LIGHT monsters depending on what build you’re running (such as Artifact Moralltach, White Dragon Wyverburster, Thunder Dragon, etc.).

Boasting a nice 2800 ATK and 2500 DEF, Construct is certainly quite a monster to get over; even if she’s summoned face-down by Falco she still has quite a high amount of DEF making it difficult to run over her.

Construct’s first effect activates whenever she’s Special Summoned (including through something like Soul Charge, but not if she’s summoned face-down by Falco obviously), and is identical to Squamata’s second effect. As such, you use it in the same kind of situation, ideally sending Core to get back Fusion. Her second effect is what truly makes her devastating though. Imagine Ally of Justice Catastor, but for Special Summoned monsters; that is exactly what Construct does. Given the fact that anything with the ATK to kill Construct is likely to have been Special Summoned (barring a Bujin boosted by Crane or Honest), it’s highly unlikely that your opponent will be able to get rid of her without a card effect. And, just like Winda, she puts a Shaddoll Spell/Trap Card back in your hand upon her death.

Construct is the primary reason Shaddoll Fusion is so threatening; if your opponent leaves an Extra Deck monster out against you, it is highly likely that a Construct is gonna come out next turn for free, on top of whatever Shaddoll effects you activate in the process. The card is currently one of the most frightening cards in the game, and without a doubt the Deck’s primary win condition.

Electric

Today, we have quite the vital card for the Shaddoll archetype, and one that leads to quite a few of their victories, in El-Shaddoll Contruct. First, let's take a look at it's effect:
"1 "Shaddoll" monster + 1 LIGHT monster
Must first be Fusion Summoned. If this card is Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Shaddoll" card from your Deck to the Graveyard. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster: Destroy that monster. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Shaddoll" Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand."

As a level 8 light fairy, it has a lot of support going for it.
Obviously, you can use this card in tandem with Honest, but people really don't use honest in Shaddolls, which is the deck you are going to play this in. It is also summonable by Sephylon the Ultimate Time Lord, a fact that many people have picked up on. As for its effect, it is, to put it bluntly, amazing. The way you summon this card will mostly be through Shaddoll Fusion, but that isn't to say you can't use Polymerization, or El-Shaddoll Fusion, which comes out next set.

Being able to mill a Shaddoll from deck is huge, and there is no shortage of awesome targets for this card. Effects range from drawing a card(Beast), searching a monster(Hedgehog), sending another card(Lizard), destroying a spell/trap(Dragon), and even adding back the same fusion you just used(Core). Yes, that's right, you can use this card to mill Core straight from deck, as it does not require a monster to mill. The fact that this is, in effect, a Catastor for special summoned monsters is just icing on the cake, and it makes this card near invincible to being destroyed by battle.

However, if you are going to use this in a Shaddoll deck, you obviously need some light targets. Some of these targets include, but are not limited to: Sephylon, Rainbow Kuriboh, Felis, the Lightsworn Archer, Wulf, A/D Changer, and all of the Artifacts. You can also use Core's attribute substitution ability for the light target.

Overall, this card is an amazingly vital card for the Shaddoll archetype, and it's most reliable out to large, special summoned monsters.

El Shaddoll Construct is a behemoth of a monster. She is all that is holy in unsacred terrain. Light, Level 8, Fairy type in an otherwise dark spellcaster theme, she does a bulk of the muscle in this archetype. Summon her with Shaddoll Fusion or Super Polymerization, two huge cards this format that are seeing play everywhere. When she is summoned, you can send a shaddoll card from your deck to graveyard. The toolbox here is prime. Send any shaddoll monster for any effect you need on the board at the time, or you can even send shaddoll fusion to the grave if you used super polymerization to summon her originally, so you can add it back to your hand when she leaves the field.

Construct also destroys any special summoned monster she battles at the start of the damage step, so you can get over pretty much any threat, and even stop a lot of nasty effects from triggering on special summoned monsters as well. Level 8 is a nice touch for combining with Shaddoll Falco to make Leo, The Keeper of the Sacred Tree as well.

The toolbox effect Construct has is a big benefit over her little wicked sister, Winda, and add to that the large attack stat and ability to destroy special summoned monsters, and it's easy to see why she does most of the heavy lifting for the team. All Shaddoll builds will play at least two Construct in the extra deck, though it's heavily recommended in this format to go with 3. Mirror matches are everywhere, and the player controlling the last Construct almost always controls the outcome of the duel.
