Monday

Welcome to more or less what I've essentially put together as the "leftovers" week of Generation Force.  Through good or bad, and things I may have purposely ignored for the week, we open today with Super Crashbug.  Super Crashbug is a Dark attributed, Level 4, Fiend type Monster, with 0 attack and 3000 defense.  This Monster cannot be Normal Summoned and Set, and furthermore, can only be Special Summoned, from your Hand, by removing Crashbugs X, Y, and Z, respectively, from your Graveyard.  For a little note for those who aren't familiar with the Crashbugs, they are essentially watered down versions of Gadgets.  Allow me to explain:  When you Normal Summon one, you can Special Summon a second, while the third is all ready on the Field.  Anyway, that's irrelevant as you need all three in the Graveyard to Special Summon this.  The attack and defense of all Attack position Monsters on the Field are switched.  Now, the effect applies to all Monsters on the Field before Super Crashbug appeared, and while.  Super Crashbug Special Summons in Defense position, but when changed to Attack position, that's 3000 attack.  Due to the Special Summoning requirement, you really need the Deck built around the Crashbugs, and note that only one Super Crashbug can be on the Field at a time.

Super Crashbug

Crashbugs won't make much of an impact on the competitive scene, but can be a solid deck for new players, except not really because Tour Guide from the Underworld is still wicked expensive, even after the new Xyz Material ruling (which means cards like Sangan and Reborn Tengu don't work with Xyz).

Expect Super Crashbug to screw up pretty much every opponent you play it against, even though it won't be able to attack until its second turn out. Change him to Attack Position, and his crazy 3000 DEF becomes his crazy 3000 ATK. However, this is a really bad format for trap cards, and also a really bad format for monster cards. When you summon Super Crashbug, just pray that your opponent doesn't drop a Chaos monster.

4/5
Art: Not sure if sure.
Fun Fact: All the Crashbugs are totally random.
Tomorrow: Phantom Hourglass.

Super Crashbug, a level 4 DARK Fiend, opens this week. This card can only be special summoned by banishing Crashbugs X,Y, and Z from your grave. The crashbug Archetype focuses on Special summoning the missing letter if one is on the field and one is normal summoned, similar to how gadgets search themselves. Once on field they combo to XYZ summon No. 34 Terror-Byte, which combos with Super Crashbug by allowing your 2900 Defense Terror-Byte to turn into a 2900 Attack. I know what most players are thinking, Situation City, but with the way these monsters search themselves it will only be like Situation Town.
